Happy with this purchase
Great product we have purchased several of these through the years they really stand up to the weather. And provide great shade in the summer. They are also not an eye sore. I will say we tried other brands and they were awful did not last a year in the weather and ripped up. Colour tree is the only brand you will get your money’s worth.

Top Quality, (with follow-up 15 months later)
This shade sail is pretty straight forward. Made of lightweight material that provides very effective shade. We have it strung over our pool. It has tolerated strong winds and heavy rains. Time will tell regarding durability and UV resistance, but I like it enough I will be ordering a second one. Follow-up after 15 months - We use this sun shade to cover the shallow end of our pool during the hottest time of the year here in South Florida. So it is up for about three months from around the middle of June until September. It helps keep the pool cooler, and makes for a much more pleasant swim experience when the sun is high. The tarp still looks good, no mold, mildew or algae, and I see no evidence of deterioration. In heavy rain it does collect some water, but it passes through pretty quickly. I inserted a large grommet in the center to assist with drainage, but it doesn't seem to help much. Get this tarp, you won't be disappointed.

good sun shade - not waterproof
We decided to try a sun shade as a temporary solution to see if keeping the sun off the front window made a difference in the temp of the house. It provides very good shade (surprising for not being very thick). The edging and corners seem sturdy and have been holding up to rain and medium winds. I'll include here that as others have noted its 8 x10 TO THE CORNERS & it's designed to be stretched, so the main part of the shade isn't a full 8x10. This didn't bother us, as we knew what to expect and didn't have a fixed area to cover. Also it DOES NOT include the hardware to install. Make sure you buy some sort of a it - we opted for another kit on Amazon since we didn't need the cording. It is NOT waterproof (see picture) but it IS water resistant. If you don't have the shade at an angle where the water runs off, the water pools up and then drips thru the shade meshing . I find it drips thru more at the folds from shipping. Again, this is a bummer (and a lack of planning on our part to get the angle right) but was not a deal breaker for us since we didn't intent it as a permanent/ year round/sit underneath solution. Overall I'm really happy and yes, it shades the front window well and reduces the temp in the house by almost 10 degrees!

Works great for its purpose
I purchased this as an alternative to a large offset umbrella because I wanted more coverage, and wanted to be able to hang outdoor lights as well. This canopy works great for the purpose - dilutes the sun and looks nice. I didn't see any installation instructions so I looked up a tutorial on YouTube. I followed those instructions, but my canopy sags, despite my measuring and re-measuring. We'll have to move the 2 of the anchor spots so the canopy can be pulled taut, but even with the sagging it looks ok. I purchased a second of these in a different size for a separate location so they will match and look nice. Great value for the money. Knocking off 1 star on installation for there being no instructions. UPDATE: My husband moved the anchor points on the side of the house to stretch it and it no longer sags. It looks really good still - has been up for almost a year - and lasted through the winter weather (heavy rain, heavy wind gusts, some freezing nights). We purchased a hanging kit on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXZUU6X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1), looked up hanging instructions on You Tube, and voila! The rain does go through the fabric though, so this is a true SUN shade, not a waterproof rain cover.

Great Shade
Amazing! Great shade for people, animals, and my plants! Spend a lot more time on my patio these days! I like the fact that I can choose to leave it up or take it down. I was Concerned if it would stand up to heavy winds and rain. We put it up with a little play in it and about 16 feet high. Rain drains, it does not hold water and has no issues with the wind. I will take it down before the leaves come when it gets cooler. But for now the whole family loves it, including my 4 legged pups!

Perfect - Very Happy
We purchased this for our back patio area where we have a “living room” set up outside. It was hot and hard to see the tv because of the sun. This product is the perfect size for our area and provides amble shade and protection. It is made of thick material and seems like it will hold up for a very long time. We had to purchase the hooks separately and my husband used his power drill but once we decided exactly where to anchor it, installation was easy. The area is noticeably cooler & we can now see the tv screen! We can’t really attest to the durability since it’s been just a few days but so far... CAN NOT GO WRONG WOTH THIS PRODUCT.

Look great and provide a lot of shade! So happy!
I have been looking at shade sails for a couple of years, because we have a patio and pergola area that we could only enjoy for a couple of hours in the morning, before the sun came over the house, and then in the evenings. We wanted to be able to enjoy this area a lot more! These shade sails give an excellent amount of protection from the hot sun providing very good shade, more than I expected - as you can see in my photo of the whole patio area - that photo was taken at a time where it would be full sun without them. I wrestled with myself over the sizes I should choose and I ordered two of the 8 x 12 rectangle sales. We actually hired someone to put them up for us, and quite frankly, now that I see what they did, we absolutely could have done it ourselves. In fact we are going to move the brackets because they’re not pulled tight enough. That said, even though there’s a decent amount of movement, they held up beautifully when we’ve had high winds, a few gusts up to 50+ mph. We’ve had them put up about 8 weeks now, so I can’t speak for long term, but so far they are doing great. My only regret is that I should’ve gotten the 12 x 12 square to go over the actual patio area. Being that we will be taking these down in a couple of months for winter, we decided that next year we will just order one of the custom sized triangles to prevent the afternoon sun from being on our table and chairs. Also, when I first opened them up I was a little nervous about how they would look, but I couldn’t be happier with them! We have gotten a lot of compliments on what a great idea this was. I just wish I had ordered them 2 years ago!!

Pay Attention to Warranty - The Last One I Bought Lasted ALMOST Three Years
I bought a sunshade this a little over 3 years ago to use to shade my car from the sun during spring, summer, and fall. I would always store it for the winter. This year, I took it out and when I hung it, a tare emerged in April. Unfortunately, I procrastinated and just missed the warranty period by 14 days or so. The seller ultimately offered a 30% discount on a new product. A larger discount would have been appreciated for a product that ultimately failed in less than 3 years. It's a great sunshade, but keep an close eye on ripping or deterioration before the warranty expires.
