Osprey UL Raincover

You may find it helpful to know that I tried out a different rain cover before I settled with the Osprey. The other rain cover I tried was the Sea to Summit siliconized Cordura cover that comes in various colors. The reason I initially went with that over this was the fact that it's made of cordura. The cordura material is very durable and many high quality packs are constructed with this material. However, the downfall is the plastic clip in the back will not hold up. Also, the size. The large size fit my 85L pack, but it would barely fit when full and there is no way I could stap anything on the outside of my pack... rendering it useless (for me at least). I decided to give the Sea to Summit cover to my wife for her 55L, yes the size Large for her 55L.I was then going to check out an Outdoor Research rain cover, but I came across some helpful reviews that made me decide against that.So, the Osprey it was, is, and will be. What I really like about the Osprey is the fact that the large is perfectly large to suit my needs. I can fit it comfortably around my pack, sleeping pad, and tools. The drawstring reduces a ton for lighter jaunts, and the snap in the back will definitely hold up longer than a weak plastic clip. Plus, the color of it is not chocolate brown like the picture shows, it's a gunmetal grey.Oh, and a lifetime warranty.

I used this over my womens Osprey backpack and it fit the way it was made to. It got full use while travelling in Central America in the rain and heat and it kept my backpack dry and in perfect condition. I also used to to cover the backpack while it was stowed in a bus or plane or trunk of a taxi. My backpack still looks amazing after the trips I've taken. The cover itself has held up well. No rips or tears or obvious stains I can see. The drawstring it sturdy and looks like it holds up just great when you need that extra pull to make sure you are sealed tight. I have no complaints with this cover. It does the job it was made for and is an ideal purchase if you want a cover that is conformed for your pack and to keep your items safe and dry.

It definitely kept my pack dry when it needed to, though it's not as durable as I had hoped. I think the plus side to this is it packs down extremely small. Take your pick I suppose ;)It did survive two trips through checked-baggage on an International flight from CA to Europe without any rips but some decent scrapes that will probably become holes soon enough. I used it to completely cover my pack so that none of the straps would get eaten by conveyer belt machinery and destroy my beloved pack. It did the job nicely ;p

Good product for my Osprey Aether 60. It fits fairly well, albeit a bit loose, although it's easier to put on being that way. It seems to keep almost all rain, heavy and light out, and that is as good as it can be with a back pack. If you have items that 'must' be dry, i.e. electronics, etc, then a dry bag or two would compliment this well. Safe back packing....

I was using it with a Osprey Aether 85L pack. I bought the Large pack cover size. My pack was not fully packed and it was a bit to large. A Large Sea to Summit (my friends' fit much better on it). If you aren't fully packing your Osprey Aether 85L pack the Large pack cover may be excessive.I used this recently for a day in Glacier National Park. Light rain. The item is just a bit weak and not durable at all.Wasn't rough with the cover and within a day of it got a tear in the outer shell and the very thin elastic strap broke.I will be returning this. Osprey normally has great products, but I don't recommend this one.

This thing is huge! It fits over my fully loaded 65 liter pack with two sleeping pads attached to the outside. I hike two days strait in the rain and my pack never got wet. I love the draw string and the strap that holds the sides tight around my pack. My old rain cover wouldn't cover the whole pack with my sleeping pad attached. This one has no problem! Does it's job! A little expensive but worth it!

It was nowhere big enough for my 65 liter pack even though it was advertised to fit up to 70 liter packs. It looks good and feels sturdy enough but I have to send it back for a larger size

Fits perfectly over my Osprey Ariel 75 pack and keeps the rain from dampening my pack. It's durable and lightweight. The included pouch was a nice touch. Also, pardon my girly-ness, the red of the pack coordinates perfectly with the red Osprey on the raincover.

Brought for covering Osprey Aether 70 Mens and Ariel 65 Women's packs. The cover fits these packs fine and folds up pretty small in the included stuff sack when not required. We have used in them in wet and windy hikes and treks throughout the world and they are still going strong. As with all rain covers there is a tendency to become detached in very windy weather so make sure it is tied on as well.

Das Cover ist dicht und tut daher was es soll.Gestört hat mich der Gummizug etwas, denn beim Festziehen musste ich den Stoff immer 'Nachschieben', damit das Cover gleichmäßig an allen Stellen festgezogen war. Des Weiteren habe ich den Sinn dieses Knöpfchens in der Mitte nicht verstanden, das liegt aber wahrscheinlich an mir.Ich habe den Gummi ganz entfernt und einen etwas dickeren eingezogen, jetzt lässt sich das Cover besser festziehen.

Goes very well with my Osprey 85 L ruck sack. Colour could have been fluorescent yellow or orange for better visibility but it is grey. Pricey but most of Osprey products are...

大型のカメラバックパック用に購入しました。幸い未だ雨に遭わずで使用はないのですが生地も丈夫でいつも中に忍ばせています。

私はオスプレーのArthur70のバックパックを持っていますが、オスプレーの場合レインカバーはついていなく、防水機能は搭載していなかったように思います。それで、いずれにせよ必要だったのですが、すぐには購入できず、最近になってようやく購入できました。カバーは網目の風通しの良いカバーとレインカバーと一体化した収納袋の二重構造になっていて、小さいし無くしそうだったのでフックがついていてよかったです。両方の袋にループ状のフックがついていてそれを使ってなくさないようぶら下げることができるようになっています。で大きさですが、私は同じオスプレーArthurでもLサイズのものに体のサイズからなってしまうのですが、それでも60+litreのサイズにぴったりといわれつつも、うまくに十分入りうるようでした。これはArthur70には必要だったので、助かりました。購入成功です。いい製品だと思います。このレインカバーはちょっと大きめに作られているので、Arthur70は見かけ小さめでパックすると驚く収納力を備えたバックパックなので、恐らくちょうどぐらいに大丈夫だと思います。それぐらいに余裕な(余分な)スペースがありました。
