I own a pit bull puppy (1 year old) who loves to chew. He destroys every other toy we buy him within 24 hours because he loves them so much with his mouth. This bone can withstand his chewing for weeks, and keeps him happily occupied. Other reviews have said that this was hollow, but they must've updated the product, because it's solid and takes him forever to break it down. The bacon flavor doesn't hurt either. This is the ONLY chew toy so far that can withstand his "love" ...4/7/17 - Update - I've now ordered three of these off of Amazon. The last one I bought was for a Christmas gift for my dog, and I just ordered his new one, which means that Christmas gift lasted almost four months. That's got to be a record for this pit bull puppy who loves to chew :-)

There are few dog bones/toys/etc that can withstand more than 10 minutes with my sweet pit bull guy, but this is one of them. And it lasts months. It's truly extraordinary. Bonus, my German Shepherd/cattle dog mix also likes it and chews on it often. I've been buying pretty much just these for years. Also, unlike other reviewers, both my dogs wanted to chew it immediately and found the bacon flavor compelling.

I run a doggie daycare and we LOVE these bones! I first picked a few up at a local Big Lots because they were a deal and I wanted to try them out. We only use Nylabones and this particular bone is far and away the most lasting of any of their bones. We have between ten and twenty dogs who chew these bones every day, and we still have our first batch which is over a year old. If twenty dogs can chew one of these bones every day for a year, they are most likely going to do any single dog just right. Entirely Pets has the best price by $5 or more, and also has very cheap and super-fast shipping. Highly recommended. After looking closely at these bones, they have been completely redesigned and are constructed more powerfully than ever. This is the best Nylabone for any dog who loves to chew.

I have an extremely heavy chewer and the nylabone dura chews are the only thing that will last in our house. This thing is slowly being worn down by our 2 yr old lab...he's been working on it for the past 6 months. It'll probably still be going strong in another 6 months. The only thing we have to watch for is that he will carry it around the house and bring it to us and then drop it. You do not want your toes under this thing when it lands on the floor. It is very heavy! We really like these for our dog and have purchased others (for variety and because the more things he has to chew on the longer they all last).

Holy Moly this bone is tough. My Pit chews everything within minutes to hours. Not even a Kong can last with him. Several friends recommended the Nylabone. We've had it a while now and it hardly looks chewed at all. It's very hard and can get quite sharp where he's chewed it and I was worried about his gums hurting but he does great with it. Don't accidentally step on it though with your bare feet or you'll be sorry lol

Awesome and my dogs love this.

It is a little bigger than I expected. Good size for a 90+ pound dog. It is not solid clear through. The extremely hard material is in layers, at least around the ends so do not be surprised in your dog can get off occasional chunks of it. My dog really seems to like it and it should last several months at least. His teeth are looking better (less plaque/tartar/yellow) and I have not noticed any bleeding gums. My dog and I are satisfied with the purchase.

I have a large breed who is an aggressive chewer, this bone is holding up quite nicely. It is quite a large dog chewing bone, I was expecting smaller but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. There are some negatives about this product but I would definitely buy it again should this get lost or destroyed. It is a hard material making it loud when dropped and tossed. The chewed parts can be quite sharp as well. The most important part is that he chews this and not my shoes or furniture.

Unsere Hunde haben verschieden auf die Nylabone Knochen reagiert: Die verfressene Terrierhündin hat ihn wie erwartet sofort angenommen und bearbeitet. Immer wieder holt sie ihn, trägt ihn herum und kaut darauf. Die Schäferhündin ist allgemein auch gegenüber unbekanntem Futter eher skeptisch und nimmt es erst nach genauer "Überprüfung" an. Sie hat den Nylabone Knochen überhaupt nicht beachtet und wir mussten zu einem Trick greifen um ihr Interesse zu wecken: Wir haben mit der Bohrmaschine an beiden Enden ein Loch durch den Knochen gebohrt und diese Löcher mit Leberwurst gefüllt. Nach dem Ausschlecken hat sie dann weiterhin den Knochen bearbeitet. Für uns Menschen, die wir sonst eigentlich nur natürliche Kauartikel verfüttert haben, ist der Nylabone etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Er fühlt sich tatsächlich an wie Hartplastik und ist sehr schwer. Nach dem Bekauen bilden sich aufgebogene Spitzen und "Riefen" auf dem Knochen. Das stellt aber keinen Mangel dar, wir hier in manchen Rezensionen zu den Nylabone Knochen zu lesen ist, sondern ist vom Hersteller so gewollt, die Spitzen sollen wie kleine Bürstchen die Zahnoberfläche reinigen. Das Abkauen und Verschlucken solch kleiner Spitzen ist ungefährlich, sie verlassen den Hund auf natürlichem Weg.. Auch wenn sich die Spitzen für menschliche Finger nicht sehr angenehm anfühlen, scheinen sie den Hunden nichts auszumachen, es hat sich auch noch keiner damit am Zahnfleisch verletzt, wie manche anderen Käufer es in den Rezensionen befürchtet hatten. Alles in allem ein sehr "amerikanisches Produkt" das uns anfangs auch eher unnatürlich vorkam, aber es erfüllt seinen Zweck und schlägt in der Haltbarkeit alle von uns bisher verwendeten natürlichen Kauartikel. Von uns gibt es eine Kaufempfehlung!

My staffie is able to destroy most things in minutes, he even manages to have a good go at Kong stuff, although they do last a good few months. This bone is great - he loves it - will happily chew on it for hours and hasn't managed to destroy it yet! it's definitely good for the power chewer!

I buy always this products for my dog and she loves it!I will keep buying this brand ! !
