Can this be used as a deep conditioner?

This is a very thick moisturizing conditioner. To condition, I leave it in for about 10 minutes in the shower, detangle, and wash it out. Because my hair is extremely dry and coily, I use it as a leave in conditioner as well. I apply a small amount of the Hydrating Cream conditioner and a small amount of the Quiet Calm curl control to soaking wet hair, making sure to distribute well, and towel dry with a microfiber towel. It is a very dense conditioner, a little goes a long way if used on clean, soaking wet hair.

How do I open the pump? Do I twist it to the left or right?

I think I turn it to the right to open it. Sometimes I have to unscrew the pump and hold the lower part while I turn the upper part to get it to pop up. Hope that helps.

Is this a bad choice for low porosity hair?

With any conditioner, us low porosity girls should really use heat when we deep condition. I've used this with a plastic cap under the dryer and while it wasn't "bad" I've definitely used other conditioners that were better.
