Amazon Fresh Nicaragua Ground Coffee, Medium Roast – Amazon Fresh I purchased this Amazon Fresh Nicaragua Medium Roast ground coffee as an everyday option for my morning routine. It is made from 100 percent Arabica beans and comes pre-ground in a 12-ounce container, which makes it convenient for standard drip machines, pour-over brewers, or a French press. The larger grind size appears consistent and suitable for most general brewing methods without requiring additional adjustment. In the cup, this coffee falls squarely into the approachable medium-roast category. The flavor profile leans toward mild toasted chocolate notes with a gentle nuttiness that shows up in both the aroma and taste. It is not an aggressive or bold coffee, which can actually be a benefit if you prefer something smooth and easy to drink. I found the acidity fairly moderate, making it comfortable to drink black without harshness. One thing that stands out is the value. At this price point, it competes with many grocery-store brands while still delivering a respectable Central American profile. The container keeps the grounds reasonably fresh if sealed properly after opening, though like most pre-ground coffees it benefits from being used within a couple of weeks. For daily use, it delivers a consistent and pleasant cup without demanding a premium price. Pros: ✅ 100% Arabica beans from Nicaragua ✅ Smooth medium roast with mild chocolate notes ✅ Moderate acidity and easy to drink black ✅ Good value for a daily coffee Cons: ❌ Pre-ground coffee loses freshness faster than whole beans ❌ Flavor may be too mild for those who prefer bold roasts ❌ Container size may run out quickly for heavy coffee drinkers ❌ Laminated pouch is not recyclable

This Amazon Fresh Colombia ground coffee is labeled as a medium roast, but in my experience it leans much closer to a dark roast. The flavor is bold and strong, with a deeper, heavier profile than I usually expect from a medium. I enjoy strong coffee, so this worked well for me, but it’s something to be aware of if you prefer lighter or brighter cups. The acidity is on the lower side, which made a noticeable difference in stomach comfort for me. I can drink this in the morning without that sharp acidic edge that sometimes causes irritation. That alone makes it easy to keep in regular rotation, especially for daily use. Brewing ability is solid and consistent. I’ve used it in a standard drip machine and it holds up well without tasting weak or flat, even when brewed a bit stronger. It feels like a dependable blend that’s forgiving across different brew strengths. The 32 oz size offers good value and variety for everyday drinking without constant reordering. Overall, it’s a strong, straightforward coffee that delivers enjoyment if you like a bolder cup and don’t mind a medium roast that drinks darker than advertised.

For $6 this is a decent coffee. There’s flavor in it. It’s not too bold but it’s not weak. With a bag of coffee costing $10 or more, this is an affordable option. It’s not a high end brew which I was used to . There was a time I could treat myself with the premium coffee brands but those days are over thanks to the economy. Heck I can’t afford McDonald’s coffee, which used to be a tasty and affordable brand. Now it’s more than twice what it costs a year or two ago. So are their extra value meals which I ate on the road because if nothing else the food was consistent. Maybe paying $15 for a hamburger makes me lose my appetite but that and all fast food in general taste like slop I know tariffs and the war all the time leadership have impacted the economy. Since the richest guy in the world owns Amazon and supports these anti public policies I am going to boycott this business and all business that has decided to give us lower quality while charging more . They are making us poor while they make more money than they can possibly spend.

Great‑price daily brew that punches above its budget beans Picked up this 2‑lb bag of Amazon Fresh Colombia to replace the pricier boutique roasts draining my grocery budget. I brew a full pot every morning in a drip machine and occasionally run a pour‑over on weekends. ### What hits the spot * **Smooth, medium‑bodied cup.** Notes of mild cocoa and a little dried‑berry sweetness—no burnt aftertaste. * **Consistent grind size.** Works straight out of the bag in a standard paper filter; no sludge in the carafe. * **Wallet‑friendly.** Runs roughly half the cost per ounce of my local roaster’s Colombian beans. * **Rainforest Alliance certified.** Nice to see an eco label on a store‑brand option. ### Where it falls short * **Non‑resealable packaging.** Once you cut it open it’s wide‑mouth to the world—transferred to an airtight canister to keep it fresh. * **Lighter than some “mediums.”** Dark‑roast fans may find it too gentle; I bump the scoop count by one for a stronger cup. * **Aromatics fade after two weeks.** Flavor stays fine, but the just‑opened scent diminishes quickly without solid storage. ### Real‑world impact * **Budget win.** Saved about \$12/month compared with my former brand while still enjoying a genuinely good cup. * **Office crowd pleaser.** Colleagues who normally drown coffee in creamer drink this one black. ### Hacks & tweaks * **Vacuum canister or Mason jar** after opening = fresher aroma to the last scoop. * **French press brew** at a 1:14 ratio intensifies body for those who like more oomph. ### Who it’s for * Daily coffee drinkers who want quality Arabica without boutique pricing. * Households that go through grounds quickly and appreciate the bigger 32‑oz bag. * Anyone easing into medium roasts from lighter breakfast blends. ### Verdict Keep and reorder. The flavor‑to‑cost ratio makes this my new default pantry coffee. Just plan on transferring it to a sealed container and upping the dose if you favor a bolder brew.

My husband says that it tastes a lot like Starbucks and it lasts longer, and is stronger. Definitely a better price! We are purchasing again!
