Q: What makes this one better than the others that are priced less? Don’t they function the same?

Ive. Of tried others like this but absolutely love this one. I’ve bought my granddaughter one also. Makeup stays in it on the counter instead of always rolling around. You can readily see where things are. Very durable. Would definitely buy again. Well worth the price.

Q: Would this bag keep my brushes from breaking in my luggage? It looks well padded, but I'm worried about damage, to palettes too.

padding is good but I find longer brushes can get a little curved in the bristles - when you close the bag it draws up to a circular pouch. I've never had any breakages either, but I tend to travel with just small pallettes - typically one or two of my MAC 9x palettes which have small round pans so not a great break risk to begin with.

Q: What other uses does this bag have besides cosmetics?

Q: Can anyone tell me how the bag holds up over time?

I bought three - one for myself and two for other. All are still in great shape over a year later. I use mine daily, tossing into drawers, on counters, and in suitcases (as needed). It is stuffed full at all times. Fabric and drawstring performance is strong. I’ve wiped it down as needed, but have not used any type of machine wash. Very sturdy.
