Will these wire connector work with "solid" copper wire or are they just made for "stranded" copper wire only?

I found that with stranded wires I had to solder the wires before putting into the connector to prevent creation a short inside the connector

Is there a trick to opening these? 25% ship already locked and they're hard to pry open with a jeweler screwdriver.

I'm not sure of your problem, I was able to open them w/o a problem. You may ask your seller.

Do they make this for 3 wires instead of 2?
