I had a pair of Amherst Knit shoes that I got in Pittsburgh. They were my absolute favourite shoes! I wore them everywhere, and of course they look good! I literally wore the shoes out and wanted a new pair. However, since the Johnson & Murphy stores closed in Canada (where I live) selection was limited. I am absolutely thrilled with these shoes! They’re as comfortable as I remember and they’re great for casual use in or slightly dressed up too! I like the black colour, it’s a nice smoky black rather than a jet black. Love these Amherst Knit Shoes!
I was so happy to find Johnston&Murphy shoes on Amazon. I had a pair of Amherst Knit shoes that I got in Pittsburgh. They were my absolute favourite shoes! I wore them everywhere, and of course they look good! I literally wore the shoes out and wanted a new pair. However, since the Johnson & Murphy stores closed in Canada (where I live) selection was limited. I am absolutely thrilled with these shoes! Bad fit
While they look nice (the knit pattern is the main reason I bought these), I can’t recommend them. First, sizing is off and, even if you size up (half US size), the upper at the toe box is low making it feel they are smaller than they are in length. Second, the weird inner shape almost feels like it was molded to a specific foot and doesn’t work with all feet shapes (It feels like the infinity symbol inside with a narrow middle)

This is a high quality shoe that can elevate a workday outfit in a casual way. Appropriate to wear with jeans or a more formal pant. Size accurate and comfortable for everyday wear.
