OTTERBOX PREFIX SERIES Case for HUAWEI P20 Pro - Retail Packaging - CLEAR

OtterBox deserves their reputation for quality but since they mostly make cases for Apple and Samsung devices I haven't owned one in years. They did make a case for the Pixel XL but since it was the heavy duty defender case and the Pixel XL had a serious overheating issue that the tech press chose not to warn its readers about (Google support strongly recommended using the Pixel XL without any case) that one was basically impossible to use. This is the best Huawei P20 Pro case I purchased hands down and I probably have 10 cases. There is a cheaper clear case on Amazon that looks identical to the OtterBox--I got 1 day out of it because the low quality material was already full of scuffs and scratches after a day of very light use. This case provides a very comfortable grip and feels like it will provide a decent measure of drop protection. I'm not honestly a fan of clear cases which tend to yellow over time but the OtterBox Prefix is so superior to every other case for this phone that I've tried that I will gladly buy another one should that eventually happen. After more than a month the material holds up well with no ugly scuffs, scratches or blemishes. The occasional smudge wipes away clean. This is an excellent case.

I ordered this case as I just jumped on the Huawei P20 Pro bandwagon recently and wanted to protect the beauty of the phone's coloring. Protecting it from accidental drops was important, as well as being able to hold it comfortably without worrying about it slipping out of my hands during use. This case by Otterbox does all of that and looks great doing it. It is a flexible case with a textured interior to help keep moisture away from the phone and prevent the rainbow affect. I recommend this case because it seems durable, it is easy to get on and off but it isn't "sloppy" feeling, and it allows the beauty of the phone to shine through.

Strong but big

This is a terrific case which doesn't add a ton of bulk yet seems like it will protect it just fine. There is plenty of screen and camera lip, the buttons work just fine (power slightly stiff), and no annoying rainbow. I only wish it were frosted some on the back to help with my OCD for dust. 4/22 update: my phone went flying across the room at about 4 foot high and came crashing down on a wood floor. Originally, I was hesitant to purchase this item because I thought the case was ugly. Then, I watched a review on youtube. It looked better in the video than it does in the pictures. Received my case today. Not too shabby. The case certainly protects the phone. Yes, you have to put a bit more effort to press the buttons. Not a deal breaker. You will get used to it.

I was initially hesitant about getting a clear case. I had the impression that clear cases do not offer much protection, but OtterBox proved me wrong with this case. The design is simple but nice. The phone fits in the case perfectly and the sides are a bit rough, providing a non-slip grip. Holding the phone now gives me the confidence that it has a reliable protection.

10/27 Update: Bumping this down from 3 stars to 1 star because the case is ALREADY starting to yellow pretty severely. Case is protective enough, but the buttons haven't softened up (though I have gotten used to absolutely mashing them to adjust the volume) and now the case itself is hay colored not one month into ownership. First off, my main complaint: the power and volume buttons are EXTREMELY difficult to actuate through the case. I'm not a weak guy and I've got pretty big hands, but it takes a concerted effort to use any of the buttons on the side - significantly more than the stock case and much more than any other aftermarket case I've ever used on any phone... ever... That aside, this is a nice case. It definitely inspires more confidence than the stock, clear case if you were ever to drop your phone. The back seems to be made of a harder plastic that is less prone to fingerprints than the stock case, as well. The ribbing on the outside edges of the case are adequate for grip, though not as good as another case I've used for this phone. To be fair, though, I didn't expect the grip to be great with a clear case. The transition from the side of the case to the back could've used some finishing, as it's rough and irritates your hand as you handle the phone. The lip on the front of the phone seems like it'd do a solid job of protecting the screen if you dropped the phone on a flat surface, though, so that's nice. All in all, this is a fine case. It does what I wanted it to do - display how beautiful this phone is while offering more protection than the stock flex case - but it definitely has some room for improvement.

Great quality for the price. Fits snug and is very stylish.

It is perfect and designed precisely for Huawei P20 Pro. The only thing I found it a little bit not comfortable, is the volume and power buttons. They have to be a little bit softer other wise I have no problem with it. I hope with time the buttons became softer.

Conforme

Lightweight but durable - been using it about a month and it shows no signs of wear. Love that it's not bulky and comfortable in my hand, and doesn't seem to grab fingerprints so it stays looking clean.

ist meine zweite und sitz wie die erste. Für mich bis jetzt die beste. da sie einen kleinen überstand zum display und kamera hat, passiert da nix. habe noch panzerglas aufm display. gleich bei kauf 2018 drauf gemacht. und.. hält alles perfekt.
