Quality sunscreen. Worked well on our trip to Hawaii. Only mineral sunscreens like this are really "reef safe" and won't harm the coral and sealife. We used it while snorkeling, body surfing and swimming. A light amount, spread really well and rubbed in, worked great for me, both in the ocean and on the beach. This does take a few minutes to put on properly, because mineral sunscreens are really thick. But, it's worth it to keep your skin healthy and protect the environment at the same time. We were quite happy that not one of us got sunburned while using this.

This is an effective sun protection product. It has a pleasant odor and has moisturizing qualities. It takes a bit of extra effort to rub on until it disappears, but it isn't really much of a problem

I really like this product, I’m happy it’s not harmful to the corals!! It has tiny bead-like chunks in it but it also exfoliates so I don’t mind! It smells sort of like oatmeal which I also don’t mind but others might! The one thing that I didn’t like that much but wasn’t the end of the world is that it’s somewhat difficult to spread and you have to wait a little while for it to fully dry before going in the water otherwise it’ll be white and streaky (you can rub it in). Ultimately worth it though!

We purchased several bottles before a sailing and beach holiday in the Seychelles. I’m a very fair skinned blonde that burns easily and my husband has Irish fair skin and freckles and has had skin cancer. This sun cream was amazing- hiking, sailing biking, snorkeling and swimming all day for 2 weeks and NEVER got sunburned. It does have a gritty texture but this rubs in and saving the environment is worth a little extra effort- maybe you spend 1 minute more applying Reef Repair. Now I’m on a dive trip in the Maldives. I feel good about using this product for the reefs but am also thrilled with the quality of sun protection. I use 30 SPF and still get a light tan. I absolutely adore that this product is made by dive professionals in Phuket- my part-time home for the past 13 years. This is a great product at a great price!!!

I bought both the SPF30 and SPF50 for a trip to Hawaii because it is reef safe, and found I really love it for using any time. It goes on nice and isn't messy at all. The scent is mild, which is great for people who are bothered by strong scents.

I used this product a few summers ago and I did get sunburned even while reapplying every few hours, but so did my mom and sister and they were using a completely different sunscreen (the chemically ones). The Florida sun simply does not care. It kind of smells like cinnamon which I was a little confused by. It isn't unpleasant just strange. It does leave a slight white cast which is not uncommon amongst most sunscreens. It also feels a but grainy almost like an exfoliator but it isn't harsh or abrasive. Its an okay sunscreen. I am simply trying to do my part of not contributing to coral bleaching!

The smell was very pleasant; almost almondy. It was thick when initially put on but once soaked in, was light and not greasy. The main reason I bought it was that it was 'reef safe' but it did a great job protecting my skin as well.

We used this sunscreen on our recent trip to the Galapagos where we went snorkeling and hiking every day under the blazing equatorial sun. Most of the people in our tour group were covered with a white coating after applying their sunscreens which I have to assume was from zinc oxide. This sunscreen goes on easily and doesn't leave you with a white coating. I have very fair skin and I never burned. It is SPF 30 and we did come home with a bit of a tan, so if you don't want any color perhaps a zinc oxide sunscreen would be better for you. It does have a slightly gritty texture but that wasn't really a negative. Disappears easily into the skin. One tube more than lasted for 8 days in the sun for 2 people. Would buy again.
