I use it for all indoor and outdoor sweat-heavy sports. Review: It's ok, but not overly impressed with this one. - The patented silicone Sweat Seal doesn't really channel sweat back and away from the eyes, face, and glasses. I'm still getting sweat in my eyes and on my glasses. It's thin, which is nice in the Florida heat, but it doesn't channel or wick away moisture fast enough to keep sweat out of my eyes.

If genuine, it works and is recommended.
I run hotter than your average bear. I like it cold. The colder the better, in fact. So when it comes to Summer in the Memphis, TN area, I suffer. Add on a bike helmet, with its insulating foam, and my head pours forth with perspiration. It makes my very needed glasses difficult to see through, stinging my eyes, and dribbles down on my bike and body. I look like I went through the rain, in short. I have the Halo brand skull cap with the same silicone strip that this model has. Tradeoff is that I get even warmer with another layer on my head, so I decided to give this model a try. Since I have a big head I was a bit suspect of the one size fits all sizing. The skull cap version has an open end with a tie to adjust the fitting, and it works. In two months of near daily usage, it has retained its shape and not stretched. It is also not tight but fits just right. The silicone strip works as described, directing my still prodigious perspiration down the sides of my head away from my glasses. At times, if I bend over too far, it will weep past the band and down the front of my face, but the flow is minimal and not the vision blinding flow of normal. I recommend this, but should note that it does take some fiddling for me to get my glasses and this aligned properly to prevent a headache from happening. Something about the glass earpiece and pressure gives my a headache at times. Not the ideal accompaniment to the heat of Summer. Looks wise, I don't really worry about it. I am a cyclist in lycra and helmet, so my concern of appearance went out the window long ago. The helmet does cover it up some, if that concerns anyone. My version appears to be the genuine Halo brand, purchased in May 2017. Accounting for fit, I highly recommend this.

The BEST Sweatband
This is the best sweatband i've found so far! The sweat channel works well, and does a good job of pushing the sweat away from my glasses towards the sides of my face. I sweat like an absolute pig while mountain biking, so it comes in handy not having to clean my glasses every mile. The Halo II holds plenty of sweat, as can be proven if you wring it out here and there when you stop. It seems high quality and has held up well through its first 20 uses. The Halo II is stretch like a standard headband instead of the original that uses a bandana style tie in the back. I prefer the stretch because it fits better under my helmet. At first I was skeptical and thought it might be tight and itchy but it isn't. It actually conforms and I forget its there as soon as it absorbs the slightest bit of moisture. I got white so it would blend in with my helmet, but the white is kind of vivid at first. Of course it was dirty looking after the first use and dull like I expected. If you care about looks you might want to get a dark color. Now on to the only reason it didn't get the perfect 5/5 stars. When you look down while wearing the band, the sweat will pour down onto whatever you are looking at. For example, you look straight down at your map while wearing it soaked with sweat.. and you can kiss that non-waterproof map goodbye. I stopped to adjust my caliper here and there only to get irritated with the sweat pouring down onto my caliper while I tweaked it. Simple solution, whenever you stop to look at a map or something.. wring it out quick and put it back on. Also keep in mind that you don't want to wring it out while wearing gloves... i've unfortunately been there..

Basically it doesn't work
I think I got maybe an extra 5 min before I had sweat on the inside of my glasses while MTB riding. (30 - 40 min into a ride in Georgia which is a little humid right now) After stopping to remove the glasses I still had issues with sweat in my eyes for the remainder of the ride. It drives me crazy, slows me down and leaves me a little disappointed The rubber strip may have been the only thing that gave me an extra 5 min. The headband is designed to send sweat back around the head band away from the face but that theory is completely flawed considering the front of your head is facing down at all times when riding. The headband basically got soaked until it could hold no more sweat (just like the Under Armour band I tried before this) The only solution I can see would be an actual channel or a network of channels that can flow the sweat back instead of a rubber strip that fits snug against the skin leaving no where for the sweat to actually go. For the money it was worth a try and yeah its the best solution so far but its not a miracle fix or even close unfortunately. It's only going to get hotter and more humid and my rides will get longer too. Update: A few more mtb rides later I've given up on this. As soon as it's soaked it just flows into your eyes worse than with out it. Every bump sends a stream of sweat into your eyes. I stopped after 30 min to ring it out. (crazy how much sweat poured out) It only lasted another 10 min after that. Just found out about the GUTR headband. I'll have it in 2 days. Sure hope it works better than this. Update: Got my GUTR headband. Disappointed again! These two company's need to work together. Their Patents are basically stopping the end users (us) from having a product that actually works! Both have advantages and disadvantages, Maybe together they could produce something that actually does what it claims to do.
