Works without any fuss with the DSP-408 from Dayton. Nice smooth operation.

This device works great. It must be installed properly as it can have noise if near power wires. The sub volume is awesome. I use one preset for everything due to the sub volume control.

Great remote knob for the Dayton DSP 408. Works as intended. No complaints

Using the Dayton DSP to completely bypass the stereo in my 300 since even with really expensive OEM integration kits, the audio quality (especially bass) was being severely gimped, and there is no cost-effective way to replace the built in stereo. But doing that meant I no longer had a simple way to control volume other than bass (using the remote on my JP33). If I wanted to adjust the volume I had to do it on my phone directly. So I "splurged" on the Dayton remote.. Really wish it were cheaper, but it works well enough. I had to return my first one and get a replacement since the first one I received had like 7 DEEP scratches on the screen and the knob itself is very grindy at one part in its rotation, but otherwise it works well. Note that the volume level goes from 0 to 60, which is a weird incremental in my opinion, but doesnt hurt anything. I thought something was wrong at first since I was (for no real reason) expecting it to go to 100 and it seemed quieter than it should be, so I thought it was "stuck" at a max of 60. Turns out the output voltage was just lower than my amps' gains were set for so I was at 100% (60) on the remote, my gains just needed to be adjusted for the output voltage of the Dayton DSP. Also, the size is great. I have no intention to mount the remote anywhere as I like being able to palm it so I can readily change the volume. My car is crazy loud (four 6.5inch mids getting 125w each and four 3.5inch super-tweeters getting 100w each, and a 15 inch sub getting ~3500w. All real RMS wattage) but I do not like blasting it when people are around, or if I am at a stop light, stuck in traffic, going through a residential area, etc, so I am frequently adjusting the volume if I am driving anywhere other than the freeway. This fits in my hand perfectly so I can easily adjust the volume without having to look away from the road or reach for anything.

Multifunctional control but I only use it for volume control over amplified speakers.
