First off this is a nice sized drone not big and still under the FAA requirements to be registered. Functionally this drone is very easy to operate.video quality is good. At the first glance you can tell this is a good quality product.. comes in a very nice case and easy for the beginner to learn. This being my second drone and I am not an experienced flyer but was able to get up and going quickly. As far as range I have not pushed the limits but seems to be quite good. The only thing I might have liked to seen is a rechargeable controller as this requires 2 AA Batteries for the controller which has a nice led screen to show power of both the drone and controller as well as distance and height of where your drone is at. I would highly recommend this as a good starter trainer for someone looking to get into Ariel video photography. I had it out and flying with wind gust up to 15 mph. Can this drone appeared to be fairly stable even in this type of condition. The auto return home function was extremely nice, especially under these conditions. Looking forward to spending more time with this drone And learning more about his capacity and hopefully capture some really good video images. Having the Auto return for loss of signal or low battery is nice to ensure that you don’t lose your drone as I had said I would recommend this drone for beginners and intermediate drone flyers but as I get used to it, maybe I will find the ability to lie and quality of videos That this thing will capture to be good enough to produce some professional quality videos

I ordered the Holy Stone HS720G. I am a beginner. I’d never flown a drone, nor had I the desire to even get one. However, I had a need where a drone would fit the bill. As a beginner, I didn’t want to drop a large some of money for a device that I could potentially destroy in the first few flights. I had shopped around and watch many YouTube videos on various devices. I liked this bundle from Amazon for a few reasons, including that it came with a carrying case and two batteries. As for the HS720G itself, it came to the top of my list because these features: 2-Axis Gimbal, 4K Camera, and the follow me feature. The instructional videos for setup and configuration were easy to use and understand. Yes, I have crashed the drone on multiple occasion and removed a few leaves from several trees. It still flies. Using the map to determine a flight path is easy. Videos are of high quality. Being able to pivot the camera level or down is easy. I’m super pleased with the purchase and would recommend this device for other beginners like me. I would recommend, however, to splurge and get the controller with the built-in screen rather than relying on your cell phone. The controller will hold my iPhone 13 in the case, and it feels balanced, but can be cumbersome. Additionally, there have been times when I couldn’t see my cell’s screen even with the brightness all the way up. This is not a shortcoming with the HS720G or its controller, just my phone, which is why I would recommend getting a model where you are not reliant upon the phone.

I got my drone a few days ago. I took the time to read every bit of the documentation and watch some videos before I attempted to fly it. I've had a drone before, so had a pretty good basic understanding. The drone and controls seemed to be pretty good quality and the app was well laid-out and intuitive for the most part. A few sections were cleared up by watching a video or reading further. Overall, it seems to work well. The one annoyance that I saw was that the drone drifts when it should be hovering in place - quite a bit. So, if you a novice and get too close to an obstacle, the drone may drift right into that obstacle, even when you are 10 feet away. Also, if you try and make a quick correction one way or the other, when the drone attempts to go back into a hover again, it sometimes over corrects and actually ends up drifting close to the object you were attempting to move away from in the first place. I would say, this drone should really only be used in wide open spaces where obstacle avoidance is not an issue. UPDATE: Now that I have had a week or so to test and play with the drone, other than not being suitable for tight locations, the drone works great. I love the GPS mode where you draw points on the map and the drone executes the plan perfectly. Make sure you are high enough to avoid trees since there is no obstacle avoidance. The circle function where the drone flys around a spot works, as does the follow me function. I plan on bringing the drone with and using it during my 5,000 mile motorcycle trip through the mountains. The range is not great, but the drone always comes back to the launch point when it loses connection. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase for the money. Camera quality looks fine - nothing awe inspiring, but good enough for a little vacation highlight video.

I have been trying different drones in search of one with a solid clear camera, stable flight characteristics, and reasonable price. Unfortunately, this 720g seems to be defective and having tried the 720R it has the exact same issues - so likely a design fault with the 720 series. It flies normally for a few moments, then loses rotational ability and loses the ability to move forward and has little to no side steerage. Basically, a disaster waiting to happen as it is bound to crash with such poor handling. There is obviously something wrong w the drone I received. Same issues persist after recalibrating and rebooting and again recalibrating. Compared to the holy stone 360s, it’s similar in size - and seems to take a virtually identical battery based on size and shape. The controller is totally different tho. Love the simplicity of the controller and the camera is the best! Very good quality and no delay or loss of real video feed when taking a photo. Also, it has a digital zoom and easy to use your phone and two fingers to dial in what you’re looking to photograph. I wish the camera of this drone came available on the bigger and seemingly more stable hs 600. O well, the other short falling, the controller requires double a batteries. The 360 and 600 controller is rechargeable, surprisingly the 720g is not. Also, this uses a different app than the other aforementioned hs drones. Ophelia fly. Very clean and intuitive and love the ability to modify camera settings! However, it lacks a flight log and some of the utility in the hs fly app for recovering a lost drone. The carrying case is nicely laid out and I had no issues with connectivity in my very short flight. Again, I appreciated the simplicity of the controller, absolutely loved the camera, and the case, but major flight function issues made this a dead duck and another hs product I had to return.

I love how stable the image is and how it will follow me while I’m driving my old 4x4. I plan to take it off road and get some great shots from above. This thing flys itself. So user friendly and reliable. Wind doesn’t bother it. As long as you stay above any trees or power lines, you can forget it and let it do its thing. It can also hover in an area and you can forget about it. Really a great product all around! It’s good to get the 2 battery pack though so you can run one while the other is charging. You get around 20 minutes in high wind it seems. It’s extremely durable, don’t fly it in the house haha! It hit a table leg so hard, but the propellers never broke or damaged. Still works like new. It will also land itself with one button. It goes back to the take off point somewhere within about a 15ft area using gps. Worth every cent if you ask me.

I had to edit my original review here. While Holystone does have great customer service, the drone itself is erratic. I thought it was my fault that the first one was destroyed when it took off into my neighbor’s house and i was very pleased that they sent me a new one rigjt away. Well this one took off on me today and flew straight into the ocean. I was flying on land and i hit the take off button, it lifted off normally and once it touched the control it just flew sideways away from me the whole time I’m trying to gain control of it but it did not respond and flew right into the ocean. I’m going to take back what i said and tell you to save your money! Original review I am first timer drone user and was looking for a good entry level drone that is compact and that I could take on a vacation. The HS720G had really good reviews and the price was about as much as I was willing to spend on my first drone so I ordered it. A lot of the reviews kept saying how good the customer service is which proved to be true as I would find out. I don’t have anything to compare this drone to as I have never flown one before but I will say that it was fairly user friendly out of the box if you follow the instruction manual. I was also happy with the compactness and comes in a nice carrying case that will fit in my suitcase no problem. I couldn’t wait to try it out so I brought it to work with me the first day I had it and gave it a whirl on my lunch break. It was easier to fly than I expected but there is definitely a learning curve to flying these things. By the time the first battery was just about dead I felt a bit more confident flying it and was having a blast doing it! When I got home I decided to throw the second battery I purchased in and fly it again. I would definitely recommend buying a second battery because they do take about 5 hours for a full charge. So anyhow, I was flying it in my backyard having a good time and taking some really quality videos when all of a sudden I felt like i had no control over it. I was trying to land it with no luck and it flew into my neighbor’s house at a high rate of speed and sustained heavy damage. The gimball and camera were hanging out, severed wires and a broken arm. I was pretty bummed and called Holy Stone’s customer service line to see if there was anything they could do. A actual human answered the phone which is nice for once! I explained to them what had happened. They just asked me for my Amazon order # and send along some pics of the damage and they would get back to me within 24 hrs. The very next morning I received an email from them saying they were sending along a brand new one free of cost! I was thrilled! The reviews were spot on! They really do take their customer service very seriously! Three and a half days after I destroyed the drone I have a new one! Can’t beat that! I will not be flying this one anywhere near a residence or structure of any kind! That was my mistake, not being experienced enough and too eager to use it. If you are looking to get a drone I would highly recommend Holy stone!

This is by far a great product. The gps works excellent!! It flys smooth and it maintains position even in wind. If your interested in getting a drone I highly recommend this drone especially at this price it's a steal! ForeverReebok ! Austin Texas

I really love it! Very easy to fly for a beginner like me. The only complaint I have is that my Galaxy S24 Ultra will only fit in the holder if I take it out of the case. And then I have to keep it slid to the left to keep the bracket from pressing down on the power button on the phone. That makes it awkward to hold, and it's fallen out of the holder twice. But I'll get used to it, and I love flying it. I got it hung up in a bush once with thick limbs and I run it into the side of my truck bed , and it no damage whatsoever to the Drone. It's very durable.
