Is this the ps5 vr2 ? my question is because i didn't find nowhere that it's for playstation 5.

Yes, the Playstation VR2 is a device created for the PS5. The original PSVR was for the PS4. The VR2 can't run in PS4 but the PSVR (original) can run in the PS5 with an adaptator for the PS4 camera (it uses 2 USB ports in the PS5, one for the camera and other to control the video box).

I guess ill have to buy the controller charging dock separatley but what about the vr headset. does it operate like the ps 4 vr headset?

However, one thing the PSVR2 lacks is its headband system, which is smaller than the original, making it easy to slip out of position and miss the sweet spot; in this case, check out some comfort accessories including top straps, which help keep the unit more firmly in place.

Yes. You can play regular PS5 games using the regular PS5 controller while in VR. The “screen” floats in front of you in a black void. You cannot customize the size of the screen or the void it floats in.
