Top bit of kit
I have had several bottle cappers from those small hand held jobs to table top cappers but all have broken after several uses. This bottle capper is solid; heavy duty is bang on. It is reassuringly heavy with great build quality. It has two adjustment points - one for bottle height, the other for bottle position on the stand, this is good for easy positioning which speeds the whole process up. The capping arm is smooth and positive. Overall a top purchase which I wish I had made some time ago. It is more expensive than other options but truly you get what you pay for.

Fantastic capper - may be worth searching for very best price
Received today and capped about 30 bottles already. Perfect, smooth and positive action is a real improvement over the cheap but fiddly capper I had from Wilkos (the two levered black plastic job for about a tenner). After capping around 800 bottles in the last 10 months I decided I needed something which would be quick and right first time. I have a stock of around 200 500ml bottles (Tesco 'Bavaria' beer - not bad at £1 a bottle) which have a less prominent profile which was meaning capping would require cajoling my Wilko device for a good minute per bottle and leading to decapitation for a fair few. I also have a reserve of around 50 swing top types (Aldi cheap wheat beers - £1.75 discounted) but decided against buying these as empties due the prohibitive prices and also I prefer getting into my new brews with a bottle opener - very satisfying if you've got the priming right. So this device ain't cheap (although if you search on line you will find it at £89.99 and free delivery from the same supplier) but as long as it carries on as this first batch will be well worth the investment in time and will take some of the edge off bottling days.
