Excellent book
Is an excellent book, could be one of the best for a layman to understand AI. Not yet purchased print copy. Price is expensive in Indian Rupees. Publisher needs to reduce the price to enable many to buy the book. Though the title says for dummies, actually book is highly informative will make the reader think critically.

Way too technical
It’s certainly not a book for Dummies. It’s fairly technical in parts that makes it difficult reading for a non technical person. I wouldn’t recommend it as a good starting point for understanding AI.

A good book but seller cheated with the Rs 1600 cheaper version
I was cheated by the seller AlokBookSellers. This book has two versions, one ISBN which is expensive and is sold in the USA and developed countries and the other ISBN which much much cheaper version printed in India and sold in the Indian subcontinent. I purchased and paid for the expensive version, but the bookseller sent me the version which is around Rs. 1600 cheaper and that too partly damaged. I tried to connect to Amazon Customer Care but all I got connected to was with chat bots which did not help the matter. Amazon Customer care, please reach out to me get the matter sorted.

Not the dummies book you are looking for
The "for dummies" books were always about taking a complex topic, breaking it down and explaining it to you like a 5yr old without making you feel stupid. I loved them This is not that. This book, the authors just wrote a manula about ai, referencing tons of scientic articles that prove their point. What happened to 5yr old? Do yourself a favor, save some money and just put the latest free articles about ai into your favorite genai tool and ask it to explain it as if you were a 5yr old and include examples.
