The ULANZI JJ03 Magnetic Tripod is exactly what I was looking for in a compact selfie stick that fits easily into my EDC bag. Its slim profile and lightweight design make it highly portable, and the build quality feels solid right out of the box. The magnetic mount is secure, and the included remote adds useful functionality for hands-free shots. While I haven’t used it extensively yet, my initial impressions are entirely positive. There are no drawbacks to report at this stage, but I’ll be keeping an eye on durability over time. So far, it’s proven to be a reliable and convenient addition to my daily carry gear.

Lots of utility. I use it as a simple set up for filming my kids in sports. It's quick to go from sports grip to stable tripod mode. The included shutter button works really well via bluetooth and thoughtfully can be moved around when you use the stick in selfie mode. I find that when I watch Netflix in bed I use this to comfortably last through an hour long show. The fact that it uses MagSafe as the adapter makes every use of it really convenient . There are other camera grip-focused specialty accessories that I've considered in the past that are 3-4 time the cost. I'm glad I found this instead. There is loads more utility at a fraction of the cost. The build quality is very good too. Highly recommend this.

I really wanted this to be my go-to tripod for quick shots and video calls, but it just didn’t live up to expectations. The magnetic mount is a cool idea and works okay with a case, but the overall construction feels cheap and flimsy. The tripod legs are light plastic, and the whole thing wobbles more than I’d like, especially when fully extended. I used it a few times and already noticed some looseness in the joints. The included remote works fine, and the 360° swivel is smooth enough—but for something marketed as portable and “creator-ready,” it just doesn’t feel reliable or durable. Might work for light, casual use—but if you're serious about stability or use heavier phones, this isn’t it.
