These small air tanks are quite handy. This one was to replace one purchased from another manufacturer, which was then returned on receipt due to a crushed handle which occurred in shipping. The PT one has the hose routed better, a better handle, better shipping protection, and a better paint job. Similar, but better in the details. I like knowing when it's reached end of safe life too - the other maker didn't give you a clue. This one has a label. Also, the instructions were much better. It's quite intuitive to use but better instructions are helpful. Would buy this again.

Great Air hose and Gauge

Bought this to address a problem with my mother's Honda Fit (have to wrench off wheel covers to top off tires with air, due to too-short valve stems -- thanks, Honda bean counters :|So rather than drive the car to a gas station on tires with 25 psi in them (or whenever she'd eventually inform me 'the car's acting weird')... I'd do as I used to at the track racing motorcycles, and just maintain a tank of compressed air to top off every then and again.It's a big tank... feeling car tires have a lot more air volume in them than motorcycle tires (for which a 7-gal tank was fine for a trackday and/or practice & race), was a good call even for the Fit's dinky ones. Heavy enough for me to cut a pool noodle and wrap around the sheet metal handle, but really that's the only demerit I can find. Aluminum valve knob so no chance of it shattering. And the length it's held 110 psi, is astounding -- longer than tires can hold 35 psi for sure. I've seen 7-gal tanks here for $60, so an 11-gal one that holds pressure like a champ is worth every penny.Would gift to someone in a heartbeat ;)
