RUB PRIME STEAK

I bought this seasoning primarily for home-cooked steaks and weeknight grilling, and I’ve now used it several times on ribeye, strip steak, and even chicken thighs. The flavor profile is very straightforward and clean — you get noticeable black pepper and garlic first, followed by a mild savory finish. It’s not overly salty, which I appreciate, because it allows you to control seasoning more precisely depending on the cut of meat. I used it both on a cast-iron pan and on a grill, and it held up well under high heat without tasting burnt or bitter. What I like most is that it doesn’t overpower the meat itself. Compared with some steak rubs that lean heavily on salt or sugar, this one stays more neutral and works well if you want the beef flavor to come through. It also blends well with a light oil or butter baste without clumping. On the downside, if you prefer a bold or smoky steakhouse-style rub, this may feel a bit mild. I found myself adding extra seasoning for thicker cuts. The bottle is also smaller than it appears in photos, so heavy users may go through it fairly quickly. Overall, this is a good option for everyday cooking — especially for people who grill or pan-sear frequently and want a consistent, no-nonsense seasoning rather than something overly aggressive. I’d recommend it for home cooks who value balance and flexibility.

Good flavor on red meats and pork ribs.

When it comes 2 steak or prime rib, this is my go-to. Great flavor. Not overly salty. I typically add pepper when seasoning my steaks or such cuz it's just that simple.

Delicious a great seasoning to have for any meal!

This is a 5-star steak rub, let’s be clear about that. I knocked two stars off because over the years this has gone from an 8 oz bottle to a 7.9 oz bottle (still in my cabinet from my last purchase), and now it’s a 5 oz bottle. That’s a 37.5% difference, and the price has stayed the same or even gone up a little. Unacceptable.

We used this seasoning on steak tenderloin and the flavors were awesome! First off, I need to say that I am not a huge red meat person, but my nephew made this when I was visiting, and I bought the seasoning right away! I am very impressed with the blend of seasoning and it doesn’t overpower the dish. I plan to try other flavors.
