Great replacement no problems
Work as intended, I used it to just replace an existing one and it was great to keep the body as is and just swap the diaphragm mechanism. Good quality and doing its job!

Takes some expertise
It takes a bit of expertise as you will be cutting and attaching PVC piping. The item performed as intended.

Richdel R-204 replacement
Richdel R-204 is not available. Thanks to post of 08/07/25 pointing out this unit is a replacement. Just take diaphragm, spring and solenoid from this unit and keep the Richdel's base. Use the Richdel's screws because one poster said they were slightly smaller than these.

Tolerances not a perfect replacement
Wasn’t exactly like the older part but nothing is. Still we made it work without much bother and it’s performing great.

Buy valve best suited to your project.
Excellent valves. Have used for many years. However, this model does not have a flow control valve. That model is available at a small increase in price. Subject valve is typically used on lawn zones where flow control not needed. On shrub or flower bed usage, I prefer valves with a flow control valve.

Replacement for Richdel R-204
Perfect fit to rebuild the Richdel R-204. Just unscrewed the top and pulled out the diaphragm. The solenoid is better the old one... Has spring retention.
