You won’t be disappointed.
This thing works GREAT! Leaves a machined like finish true to square and repeatable. Fits my category of, “money well spent”. My neighbor has been using the previous version of this same saw 4-5 years in his machine shop and it still cuts as good as my new one. The stand for it is a good balance between weight and stability and allows me to move it out of the way.

Really good metal saw
Wow, this saw cuts metal great. Somewhat expensive for someone like me that does not need to cut metal often but then again, cuts are now straight and smooth vs crooked and wavy from my past without this saw.

Professional performance and results
I've owned the non-miter version before and loved it. The miter version is a major step forward, although it is very expensive. If you want professional results, sometimes you need to be willing to pay for it. One major advancement in this model is the "slow" startup. This greatly reduces the startup current and greatly reduces the motor wear, power surge, and risk. It makes perfectly clean and precise cuts without any sparks or heat damage.

Excellent customer service!
I purchased this saw in early December 2025 and the cuts are amazing. After using it for a month I purchased the Evolution chop saw stand and as I was mounting the saw to the stand I noticed the saw base had two small hairline cracks. I suspect the damage occurred in shipping and I contacted Evolution customer support and within a week I received a new base. Although this was more than likely a shipping issue Evolution shipped a new base no questions asked. I wish more companies were like Evolution and treated the customer right instead of giving them the runaround.

Can’t do better for the price tag.
I more or less knew what I was getting into before I bought it. A buddy of mine had one about 6 or 7 years back when they first came out, basic model. It’s a hefty price tag but worth it. Can’t say I notice much difference in speed over a traditional abrasive saw but i don’t push it anywhere near as hard either, it’s smooooth. Just go slow and let the saw do its thing. Cut some 4” schedule 40 (1/4”) pipe with it. The noticeable difference is being able to pick the piece up bare handed IMMEDIATELY after the cut. It absolutely does make sparks, but very few in comparison to an abrasive. It also does make a hell of a mess and I need to make sure my 2 year old doesn’t ever go in the garage without shoes now… but the cuts have virtually no blade walk. 2 cuts were exactly square all the way around on both faces. One cut had a single plane that had .003” blade walk over 4.5” distance. Thats pretty impressive. I’ve used $20,000 cold cut saws that took nearly 40 hours to shim everything right during install and still be off more than this saw. Time will tell on the blades but after a couple dozen cuts, zero noticeable blade wear. For a $1,000 saw on a portable dolly table… it just doesn’t get any better than this. Only cons are, I wish it had a shop vac port and some skirts like my m18 miter to catch some of the mess, and I wish it had a dual clamping fence instead of screw clamps.
