BONE Run Tie, Universal Running Phone Armband for 4"-6.7" Smartphones

I've used a number of running armbands over the past few years. I have tended to go for the ones that have look like a neoprene case with a clear cover that facilitates the touch screen options of the phone screen. I was never really satisfied with them because jamming the phone into the pouch was usually an endeavor, the screen got foggy when I worked out, the earphone port never lined up right, and the touch screen was really touchy. They worked, to some extent, but they never were all that great. When I saw the Bone Collection Sports Running Armband, I thought it was different enough and inexpensive enough to give a try. I had some concerns that it would fit my phone Samsung Note 8 with protective case, but I thought I'd give it a try. So far, it works great. The armband is easy to get on and off (slip the bands over the four corners); is secure on my arm (no slippage); lightweight; and well made. I'm really impressed with the quality of the materials. There's not much there (rubber piece that holds the phone & neoprene strap), but it appears to be of high quality under close inspection. All my previous issues with fog; touchy controls; and the earphone port lining up are no longer issues. I have yet to encounter any problems with this armband. A couple of tips. The large band works for arms up to 17". My bicep is 17", and the large band works great. I'm able to put the band around my arm and tighten it with no issues at all. I did purchase the smaller strap thinking that it was an extender - ITS NOT. It's a strap for someone with a very small arm circumference or maybe to attach to your bike or exercise equipment. Next, I clean my band after every workout. I simply rinse the band in the shower and lightly dry with a towel. My past experience with these bands is that they will collect odor after a while; however, I have not experienced that with this band (but again, I rinse it off after each workout). Finally, I have a Samsung Note 8 (somewhat larger phone) that is contained in a protective case. This band works great for my phone with case on. If you have a larger phone (Note, iPhone +, etc), this armband should work ASSUMING that you do not have an exceptionally large protective case (Otterbox). I think the larger cases will cause some issues as the bands can really only stretch so far. I bought the gray version of this armband. My wife purchased the black version. Both as far as I can tell are exactly the same. No differences in quality, materials, or the phones it can hold (my wife has the iPhone 8+ in a case - no issues). Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. I would purchase again. I would not go back to the other types of armbands.

I recently upgraded to the iPhone XS Max, and because of the larger phone, needed a new armband for workouts in the gym, walking and biking. Was set on getting the more traditional armband when I stumbled on this, while searching here on Amazon. Overall, it's a great armband. When it first arrived, I was a little concerned because it seemed a little flimsy, just by it's design...It's a soft but back plate with a neoprene band attached. Once the phone is in, and it's on my arm though, those concerns went away. It pretty much stays put once the band it tightened, even with a large phone like the iPhone XS Max. The great thing about this design, is it allows full access for face ID and swiping up from the bottom of the phone. Keep in mind, this mounting plate doesn't rotate, it's fixed vertically...But at least when you do want to use the phone, you just remove it from your arm, but the plate and band are out of the way so the phone is usable in a pinch... If there are two things I would recommend though, for any future versions is a wider band, just to add even more stability. The other is more important and a concern...The way the band attaches to the "plate" and wraps around your arm. You basically pull the band over and then down on one side to secure the band. The issues I can see with this, is if you have it tight, and flex your arm, I mean really, really flex it, there is, like any velcro based armband, a chance for the band to come loose.. With it under a lot of tension, the band can even slip all the way out of the connectors on each side of the plate, and the whole armband will fall off. They need to at least and some kind of "stopper", stitched on one end of the band, that would stop the band from completely coming loose and stop the band from coming off. I haven't had this issue but I can see if you primarily do weight and strength conditioning, were you are flexing your arm muscles, this could be a concern. This has never happened to me while in the gym, but once and awhile, when I'm done working out, I'll pull the band to release it, and if I don't have a good grip, the band will, from the tension of being around my arm, pull back once released and pull it's self off...letting the whole band and phone slip down my arm. Luckily, I've caught in time, but like I mentioned, I can see for some, it could be an issue...

Great fit for my iPhone 14, with protective case installed (i.e. don't have to remove my everyday protective cover). Holds the iPhone securely even during rough mountain biking. One issue, the reason I gave 4stars, it should come with an elastic strap . . . the included strap is NOT elastic so you would need to adjust the velcro each time you want to use it. I replaced their strap with my old armband elastic strap and works great.

I'm using this with an 1Phone 13 Pro with a case, and a small attachment on the back of the case. It fits pretty tight, but does not seem like I'm overstretching it. There's no material movement of the phone once it's placed inside (I worried that the movement from running might shake it around, but it's quite solid. I've done 4 or 5 runs with this and I'm loving it. I've had at least a dozen running bands over the years, and this one is truly the best. Every other case I've had is some variation of the same thing - an arm band with some sort of pouch or sleeve for the phone and a clear plastic cover. Virtually all of them required removing the phone from the case to use. Additionally, with the addition of face recognition to unlock a phone, it seems that it doesn't like to work through the plastic window, which meant I always had to use my pin code to open the phone while out on the trails. This phone solves that problem. Also, my legacy cases were usually some sort of nylon and neoprene which would be kind of gross once you've sweat on them for a while. This one has a thin band, which does get full of sweat, but it's just the band. The larger piece which mounts the phone is silicone, and can just wipe off so you have "less" material dripping in sweat and looking gross. This also has better velcro than several of the bands I've had that would release themselves without a lot of force. This one sticks pretty solidly. The only feature I "miss" from my last band (which didn't last 3 months) was that it had a pocket to store a key fob, license, etc. That obviously adds size and weight, but I had gotten used to putting my key fob in it, and now I have to tie it into my shorts or a zip pocket if I have one. This minimalist design, doesn't support anything like that. Overall, this is great and is certainly the best one I've ever had.

This is almost a great product. The fit is very secure and never loses grip in use, but the band permanently stretches over time until it no longer fits

I use this three times a week for running, usually 5K. I have used it for many many runs and a couple hundred miles at least, and it securely holds my iPhone 15. I like the glow in the dark because it is easy to find in the morning when I am getting ready to run and trying not to turn on a lot of lights. I doubt the glow in the dark would help increase my visibility when running in the dark, but it makes the band easy to find. It is really good quality, and I like how it stays in place while I run. I’ve used many different arm bands over the years, and this one is by far my favorite. And I have also given it as a gift.

I had actually been shopping for a version with a swivel, but the attachment bands for those types seem to interfere more with the front cameras as well as the home buttons (if you have one) or face ID. They also add weight and have really wide bands. What appeals to me about this holder is that it is lighter weight, has a narrower band, and a replaceable neoprene strap. I'll also note that while this is marketed as an armband, I prefer wearing it on my wrist with the phone against the inner wrist. This feel more comfortable to me, probably because I'm so used to palming my phone but also allows me to use my phone apps in a natural way without breaking my stride. The silicone holder has a nice, soft, skin-like texture. While it won't prevent build-up of sweat as you workout, it does make it a bit more tolerable. It is vented at the top and bottom portions of the holder, but not in the area that bridges across the neoprene band (which would weaken it, so I understand the compromise). Finally, as I noted earlier, the neoprene band is easily removable and replaceable. As with any Velcro-type material, this is likely to wear out the quickest and it is really thoughtful that the manufacturer gives you the option to replace just the band!

Works well. Phone very secure. Expensive but worth it.

High quality materials , excellent design

I have tried many armband phone holders for running and cycling and they are usually too insecure and they start to slip down my arm. Occasionally I have found one that works pretty well, but as soon as I change phone it is no longer the correct size. The beauty of the Bone armband holder is that the velcro is incredibly secure and the holder can fit pretty much any normal sized phone.

This holder is made of sturdy rubber and grips my Pro Max tightly, even during sprints. Now I can fully focus on my workout without worrying about my phone slipping out of my hands.
