I've seen HKK recommended before for zippers and it is well deserved. These feel high quality - the zipper teeth lock strongly together and separate cleanly and easily. This is a heavy duty plastic zipper but it does have a metallic coating on the front size which gives it a metal zipper look. I loved that there was an included instruction sheet with recommendations on sewing and care which I don't know that I've ever seen included with a zipper before. Length wise this is a great length for a jacket or could be cut down for use in a large bag. There are 4 zippers in the set - 2 black and 2 navy which are very versatile colors.

This set of four 28" separating zippers includes two navy and two black zippers. The zipper teeth are bright silver and dark (almost navy) metallic. The teeth and other hardware are plastic and the zipper tapes are nylon. The zippers open and close smoothly. The bottoms of the zippers separate so these can be used in jackets, hoodies, or other garments requiring a stout separating zipper. Since the zippers are plastic, they are lighter than metal zippers of the same length and they open and close quieter. Also, plastic zipper teeth are less likely to damage your sewing machine if the needle accidentally hits one while sewing it in place.
