How do you initiate the connection?** A: I've had a lot of issues with that lock and the vendor has been unable or unwilling to resolve . I've have since purchased a different brand. I suggest you think the same **Q: does it have remote access out the box or it need extra hardware?** A: The ZKTeco AL20B comes with everything needed to connect with Bluetooth for remote access, with the exception of two things; A Bluetooth capable device and the App that is free for either Apple or Android. However the Bluetooth device also needs to have GPS and have it enabled (for no justifiable reason) for the app to work. The ZKTeco AL20B does not have any ability for remote access via WiFi so the limit to its remote access is just a few feet from the lock. **Q: Can i change codes if i'm away from the lock? i rent the property and have to change codes often but i don't live in the same town where the lock is.** A: You can setup a master code for your self and never give this code to any one , but to give an access to some one while I a way from the lock you can creat a temporary code cold for a certain time and this code will no longer work after that but ur lock needs to be connected to WiFi to be able to create or change codes. **Q: Can you use 125khz rfid fobs to unlock it?** A: I am not sure we returned this unit as it only worked for about a week ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We love this lock! *by M***L on May 22, 2019* Love the lock. It's heavy duty and sturdy, I setup the administrators with both fingerprints and digits but, I couldn't get it to lock unless I installed the app. The keypad is very sensitive and when you press a digit it will record the same digit twice. Because of that It took a long time to enter in the Administrators. I first set myself up as an Administrator then attempted to setup my husband. His fingerprint wouldn't take immediately. I had to make at least ten attempts for him to get setup. He was setup and both the fingerprints and the digital number were tested. The next day when he tried to unlock it neither his fingerprint nor the digital code would unlock the door. He had to use the key. That is the short version. We tried to find a number to call for help but, there isn't one.
