Review: A most excellent Movie set... - It's been an absolute age since I watched the OG Jungle Book, and now that I've watched it again I have to say I was remembering the OG with rose-coloured glasses. It's not that it's bad, far from it, it is an undeniable classic, of that have no doubt. It's just that IMHO the remake is better, especially when it comes to Mowgli, who comes across as very arrogant and generally unlikeable in the OG Movie, more so when compared to Neel Sethi's portrayal in the remake, a stellar performance if ever there were one. As for the Movie Set, it is amazing value for money as you get two classic Movies for a very low price, and on BluRay to boot. A must have. Loved by young and old, bear necessities, trust in me , I wanna be like you.Not forgetting about the elephants on parade.Now about the new version ? Almost all of the film was a very good interpretation of the cartoon except for the snake being female and reworked scenes !
