Comprehensive, well structured, lucid plus ellaborate writing style and illustrations which is something you might know the author for if you have gone through another of his masterpiece-'Introduction to Electrodynamics'. Overall, a very stimulating and satisfactory learning experience. If you're buying a book on QM, it has to be this one!

The book is meant for serious student of the subject. However once one have the basic idea of origin of Schrodinger equation and related history regarding the need for quantum mechanics, this book turns out to be best possible scholarly presentation of the subject. I think this book should be read in conjunction with a book by J D Cresser.

My self is a graduate in Electronic and Communication Engineering and working as an Engineer in Controls&Instrumentation field. Trying to pursue a career in Physics and bought this book to learn Quantum Mechanics from scratch. Very much satisfied with this book. The complex concepts of Quantum Mechanics are written in a neat & compressed manner. Read it by having a Mathematics book near you for reference. The only difficulty I faced is that the solutions of the exercise problems are not available. They can be made available in the book. Or at-least the Indian Edition can be made available in Amazon.in

Sir, Thanks to the author for sharing his knowledge on Quantum mechanics. As per the author, the reader should synchronize with the topic otherwise we can not get the essence of the book. Quantum physics is a great subject because it is difficult to get convince the reader at every moment during reading since like Classical mechanics we may not have ready references please.

This is one of the best books for introductory quantum mech. Non rigorous, tricky and conceptual approach towards a problem is fun to read. Though you can't expect that you'd have a good grasp over the Dirac's vector approach but you'd have a fair idea and conceptual build of 'conventional' differential equation approach. Over all a great book with very skillfully organized chapters to take the readers on a smooth journey through the quantum world.
