Bookshelf++ display and cheep storage
Needed a bookshelf, this was cheeper, so I tried it. On it I keep several sets of books in different areas, it holds a ton, and I have a few shelf's with old videogame systems I'll never use again but will never pitch. And a small tote stuffed with some beanie babies. It's mostly old memorabilia I had stuffed away in 2 closet totes for years. Now it classes up my gaming area better than a cheep bookshelf would I had to rate it terrible on "easy to assemble", it took forever and was a bit rough. Once you get it it goes quicker but still so long. Still totally worth it so 5star overall. For "sturdy" it's pretty good. I keep a shelf of old textbooks with no problem or doubt that it will hold. The poles are good for bearing loads where they are intended to be. For how light it is I am impressed with it. Don't do anything dumb with it and it'll be fine. It's much sturdier than I expected that's for sure. The fabric liners rip easily but as it's mostly a display shelf for me this is not an issue. I just noticed it while stuffing it with books. Overall I love it and I'm so glad I got it. So much better than a bookshelf would have been. And so much cheeper.

Great for the price, a pain to build
It's the perfect size for the walk-in closet in my craft room. It was inexpensive, lightweight, and is quite sturdy in spite of the fact that it is made of hollow plastic tubes and some sort of thick nylon material. I like that the shelves are tall enough to fit a letter-sized notebook. The only real downside is it was difficult to assemble. PLAN YOUR FINAL LOOK AHEAD OF TIME! At first I tried to make it tall, but there are 9 boxes, so it didn't really work that way, Wound up assembling it the same way it is in the picture, with an incline across 3 columns. Once you stick those tubes together, it is NOT EASY to take them back apart, which I had to do in order to change the orientation of the boxes. Also, you have to slide the fabric in place for the sides, tops, and bottoms of the shelves on each square, and if you forget to do that before you connect the tubes, you have to use brute force to UNDO the tubes so you can put the fabric in place. When you undo one connection of tubes, it inevitably causes the joins nearby to split, then you wind up reattaching a bunch of tubes that were tough to align in the first place. I get why it fits so tight; that's what makes the shelves so sturdy. Just pay extra care and focus while you're building it, and you'll be fine.

Love it...
This cube shelving organizer is being used for toys, books (heavy school books), etc in our basement. I had NO idea it was as big as it is & was SHOCKED when it was all assembled. If you assemble is as in the product photo of at least 3 cubes on one side, it is the height of a standard light switch (it's actually a bit higher than ours). When I opened the box I grabbed the directions & looked at the parts list, then I sorted out the parts in separate piles. ALL of the pieces were THERE, so I went to work. I had "helpers" assembling it, & it took me about 45 minutes. If you are assembling it without toddlers running away with pieces or wanting to nurse, it may take you less time. At first I found assembly a bit awkward, but once I got the first row of cubes done, it was a piece of cake. Again, I had kids grabbing pieces & trying to "HELP", so it may have been easier had I not been asking them to NOT lose any pieces. lol Once assembled I walked around the house finding the best place for this as I had 3 spaces I wanted to try it in. I decided the basement was the best option because it is against the wall (in one of the bedrooms I was thinking about putting it in, the area it would have fit in would have been at the foot of a bunkbed, & just knew my boys would climb off the bed onto it, which would NOT end well for either the shelves or the child/ren). It is light, but it could hurt a small child if they pulled it over on themselves with a bunch of books on it. We are going to use a nylon strap to anchor it to the wall. I was surprised at how much weight it can hold by means of books; the books we out on it are HEAVY high school curriculum books that are at least 2" thick & several hundred pages long. We also put games, puzzles, trucks, etc on it. My boys will often take everything off of it to play with it because somehow every single toy, game, etc. on the storage unit MUST be played with together, even if they are random toys. My boys will have play food, toy soldiers, puzzle pieces, etc. all spread out.. no idea how they all fit together, but in their brains they do. This cube organizer can be assembled in different configurations, but I opted to use it in the form with all 9 cubes used in graduated order, like stairs. It made the most sense for the space we are using it in, but I like that I can change the configuration of it later on, if need be. The height of the tallest cube section is: approx. 49" tall The height of the medium cube section is: approx 37" tall The height of the shortest cube section is: approx. 25" tall Each cube is: 11 3/4" tall x 15 1/4" wide The width of the organizer 3 cubes wide is: (just shy of) 47 1/2" The depth of the organizer including the legs/support pieces is: approx 10 3/4" (it's actually a little deeper, but not quite 11"). The fabric bins in the photo are a bit smaller than the organizer & are 11 1/4" wide X approx. 10 1/2" deep X about 9 7/8" tall. The 13" Ikea fabric bins are TOO big, but you could fit slightly larger bins than the ones shown with the above measurements. The organizer has metal poles & plastic connectors, and it is stable & sturdy. I like everything being organized & my kids like being able to SEE their toys & to FIND them EASILY.. to make a huge mess with ;). We are VERY happy with this organizer & WOULD purchase it again.

FLIMSY YET I RECOMMEND IT BUT BE AWARE
I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE CAN SAY THIS THING IS STURDY. SUPEREASY TO FLIP OVER BECAUSE IT IS SUPER LIGHT. I MEANT SUPER LIGHT. THAT IS WHY IS EASY TO TRANSPORT. HOWEVER IF YOU PUT HEAVY STUFF ON LOWER LEVEL I GUESS THAT WOULD PREVENT A FLIP. IT CERTAINLY SEEM CHEAP, NO DOUBTS, PICTURES ARE NOT SHOWING THAT DETAIL. BUT I DID NOT CARE AS IT IS 39 DOLLARS WHAT DO YOU EXPECT WITH THE VIRUS ALL IS EXPENSIVE, I BOUGHT VERY NICE ONE WOODY FOR 60 DOLLARS BUT NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE. ASSEMBLING THIS PRODUCT IS EASY BUT ONCE YOU ARE DOING IT CAN BE TRICKY BECAUSE YOU MAY GET CONFUSED (LIKE I FORGOT TO INSERT ONE FABRIC NOW ONE OF MY SHELF DONT HAVE FLOORING SO I OPTED TO PUT FACING DOWN. IN OTHER SHELF I GOT CONFUSED AND PUT THE SEW PART OF THE FABRIC UPWARD INSTEAD OF DOWNWARD, SO I RECOMMEND TO DO IF FRESH NOT IN RUSH OR TIRED (AS I DID). WHEN PUTTING TOGETHER THERE WAS NO CLICK SOUND SO IS HARD TO KNOW IF IT IS STRONGLY JOINTED OR NOT SO GIVES ME THE IMPRESSION THAT WILL DETACH ANYTIME BUT THIS SEEM SOLVED USING A RUBBER HAMMER. COLOR WAS BEAUTIFUL. INSTRUCTION WERE POOR (SHORT FABRICS FOR SIDES, LONG BARS AND LONG FABRICS FOR FLOORING OR EXTENSIONS). BUT GUESS WHAT ONCE BUILT IT IS FUNCTIONAL FOR LIGHT TOYS, I KEEP THE HEAVIES DOWN , THE TOP WITH LITTLE CARS/STUFF ANIMALS. AND SINCE CHILDREN HAVE MORE SPACE TO PUT THEIR THINGS AND SO FAR TWO DAYS THEY HAVE PICKED UP ALL TOYS FROM FLOOR, AND THEY LIKED IT , SO I KEEP IT.

My Pick For A Temporary Organizer Shelf
This is a great temporary organizer shelf. It’s lightweight, easy to assemble and easy to move or fit the unit to your space. It is a temporary organizer for two reasons. One, it is not sturdy and two, the fabric walls tear easily. It’s not sturdy, because the horizontal poles do not stay put. In order to make it more sturdy I had to reassemble and remove the bottom polls (see bottom middle square) and rearrange the weight distribution. The fabric walls tear easily because they are as thin as paper and when using a lot of pressure to press the connectors into the poles, your hand can slip and or the connector can slip and land on the edge of the fabric causing it to tear. Also, the picture that shows 3 standalone bookcases means you have to order at least 2 packages so you have enough side connectors. It will work for now!

I don't smoke cigarettes, but I needed a couple after building this.
*This review is solely for how the product works for what I needed it for.* TLDR; It feels cheap but locks in place to hold dog toys like a champ. Opening the box and working on it for about an hour, I had a great time laughing at how stupid I was for buying this. The dentist bibs and Lincoln logs were difficult to wedge into their welded slots. Then, once a few of the squares are completed, they start to fall into place; just as a few others have mentioned. If you buy this, lay out the pieces on the rug or something just as you want it to look like. This is because once you do start pushing everything together, it is very difficult to pull out to make corrections. Bottom line, for what I needed it for, it works great! No kids will be playing on/near it, heavy items fit on the bottom, and sitting sideways fits the EXACT space, leaving room for arms to grab toys and treats!

Good for kid bookshelf
When I first got it out, it looked pretty cheap with some ends having some cracks. Putting it together, I followed the picture for some labels were incorrectly named. I noticed there is only one way to set it up. I thought it might be fun to make my own design but the connectors are specific for this design. When it was together and I put the books in, it was okay sturdy. I left it a week with my young kids using it and it's good. A week later, a shelf came down but it was easy to put back. I like how there's a lot of space to organize the books by category. I like this a lot better than a basic book shelf. Definitely one for kids or comfort than display.

Good for the price
Overall this was perfect for what I needed! It’s pretty sturdy once it’s all together and wasn’t terrible to assemble. Directions were okay but a little confusing because certain brackets have to go in certain spots but the way they distinguish them is confusing at first. Everything came in good shape but I noticed the ends of the metal poles tend to crush when you push them into the connectors and if one isn’t right, it’s nearly impossible to take it out or put it back in. It also takes some muscle to get them in there so I ended up using a rubber mallet to very gently tap the metal rods into place evenly.
