Review: Pretty satisfied with the camera - Absolutely love the camera and the lens (12-60) that came with it. No complaints at all. I am writing this after using it for a year... Completed 1 year in May. Its good even if you are a beginner as you then will have more room to learn and can use all its features properly once you learn about them. It's quite feature packed and equally compact and pretty easy to travel with. The 12-60 lens that I got with it is pretty good too and I found it useful for my projects like using it for vlog videos, short films, product films, some photography. Although I am not a professional photographer. So do your research on the lens and the type that would suit yoilur need. Battery life is ok I would say, It's not bad but not so good at all. I will recommend still keep an extra battery. People talk about its auto focus not being so good, I honestly haven't used it much and always used manual focus... It dint have issues focusing whenever I did use it but that is something I can't comment about. I have no complaints about it yet. Quite happy with it.

**Q: Does this include the Panasonic Leica 12-60mm zoom?**
A: No it is the Panasonic version of 12-60 NOT the Leica version.

**Q: Is humming noise from ibis real big problem? only when recording video or makes humming noise at all time camera is opened?**
A: It makes a noise all the time. In a quiet room, you can hear it. When you're out and about, you can't. It's not a problem for stills, just for video when there isn't any ambient noise. For example, when I'm taking a video of my children at home. The humming is prominent on the video in these situations.

**Q: Will this camera have bracketing mode? And how many?**
A: Yes, it has several bracketing modes. One cool feature is that you can use C2 to increase the AE bracketing range, using the 5 shots at 1ev steps setting. Set them to -3. Then save to C2-1. Next set the brackets to +3. Save to C2-2. Then use the touchscreen to change from C2-1 and C2-2, resulting in a set of 10 shots that covers the full DR of the G85.

**Q: I'm looking for a camera to use to make videos on the road and am definitely a newbie. Can I plug in an external microphone to this camera?**
A: Yes, it has a 3.5 mm jack.  Rode makes some good on-camera video mics in a wide price range.

Absolutely love the camera and the lens (12-60) that came with it. No complaints at all. I am writing this after using it for a year... Completed 1 year in May. I am very satisfied with this camera. It's easy to use and gives you the most clarity images. By the way this is my very first expensive camera I'd ever had. I’ll begin by clarifying that I am a hobbyist seeking an entry-level, accessible option for starting out with photography. After doing a bunch of research I decided to order the G85 bundled with a 12-60mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens. From the get-go you can tell this is a well-built product. They used magnesium alloy plating in the top and front to counteract ‘shutter shock’ in this model’s predecessor, the G7, along with high quality plastic throughout. The grip is coated in quality rubber and feels very comfortable. Weather sealing (on the kit lens too!) is a great touch. I find the ergonomics of this camera to be intuitive and comfortable. The dials are useful, easy to use yet hard to accidentally toggle. The buttons feel nice and clicky, with a sensitive shutter button. I also love the viewfinder; extremely clear and no issue for someone with glasses like myself. The touch screen fully articulates and is also clear. Menu system works well and navigation is a breeze. On the software end, however, the wifi functions are finicky; transferring photos to my iPhone 14 Pro is a trial-and-error process with the Image App, which struggles to even establish a connection. I find the 12-60 kit lens to have good clarity compared to others I’ve tried, with a very useful zoom range of 24-120 FFE, and reasonably fast aperture. The OIS and IBIS work in tandem to make camera shake in video and photo modes a non-issue, no gimbal or tripod needed. I found the autofocus to be sluggish in low light conditions especially during 4k recording, though in well-lit areas it’s faster for photography and well-workable. Manage focus properly and invest in some quality glass and you have an amazing camera for the price. In summary, this is a great camera for beginners as well as experienced photographers. The flaws are minor in comparison to the ergonomics, build quality, features, amazing price and picture quality. This camera can tackle many types of photography along with videos and grow with you.
