Terrific addition to the collection - not the best ABC book
If you or yours are fans of the Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site family of books (we have the original, the Mighty Mighty followup and the plush excavator toy, so far), this is a really good book. If anything I think the prose in this one might be better than the two originals. It's not perfect as a teaching tool for ABC's (it doesn't follow the one letter >> one object model that those books do) but for a kid who's already got most of the letters down, its lyricism and humor is second to none, as I would expect from a Sherry Duskey Rinker work. I just hope everything is OK with Tom Lichtenheld. I couldn't find any information online about what had happened to their partnership. The art in this book is fine; my two year old didn't notice the difference.

Toddler Loves It
We love the Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site books in our house! This is no exception. Such a cute book and a great length for a toddler. It’s in our oration of bedtime stories!

Once a year big deal!
I love Tonka! Every Chtistmas I purchase a real Tonka truck. This year the cement mixer was a huge hit. When I asked what his favorite was he said.,The Tonka. So I asked what he got. The cement mixer granny. No substitute would ever do!

Great quality
Nice thick pages, great quality & cute story.

Part of a great series, but not the best installemtn
My son likes this book because he likes the trucks he's gotten to know in the other books. But the story is a little awkward in the way it forces the alphabet letters into each line. I find it a bit hard to read, and my son (who usually remembers entire lines from the other books) doesn't really remember the lines from this one. It's still pretty good and you should get it if you love the series. But I'd get the other popular ones first.
