For invisible repairs to difficult-to-bond plastics like polyethylene, polypropylene and Polytetrafluoroethylene, Loctite Super Glue Plastics Bonding System gets the job done. Loctite Plastics Bonding System is a two-part cyanoacrylate adhesive that sets in seconds, dries transparent, and successfully bonds plastics with no mixing or clamping required. Resistant to water, most chemicals, and even freezing temperatures, Loctite Super Glue Plastics Bonding System delivers truly tremendous strength in just a single drop. Each order includes one 4ml activator for priming and one 2g tube of super glue.

Review: Works well on silicone rubber. Even tho it's not supposed to. - EDIT: Two years later and still holding strong. I recently had to pull apart some silicone rubber that I had glued to PVC. The glue bond was extremely strong, the rubber tore without the glue bond ever letting go at all. That's the most you could ask for. It also works well for metal to plastic. I keep this handy for all sorts of plastic repairs and builds. First I'll have to say that the little tube of glue that comes with this turned out to be useless, it just glued itself shut. Not a big problem as there was a large bottle of Locktite superglue handy, so I used that. The activator agent comes in a metal tube with a felt tip, similar to a magic marker or Sharpie. The fluid is clear and hard to see, but it does come out and you can smell it. I treated both surfaces to be glued, even if one wasn't plastic. After the fluid evaporates you use the superglue just like normal. I was happily gluing silicone rubber tubes to a softer silicone rubber base with no problems. Adhesion is fast and strong. Then I read that this is NOT for silicone rubber. Oh well, I don't care, it works great and is easy to use. The bond is often stronger than the silicone itself. What more could you want? There was plenty of the activator for my use, in fact I have some left over.

**Q: Im wanna attempt to bond a door handle back together on my Jeep. Has anyone used this stuff for anything similar? How well does it work on plastic?**
A: I have used this product on a difficult project and it worked better than I expected.  Follow the directions and you have a good chance of ot working. Can't guarantee it as I have noy used it on a handle.

**Q: Will this bond plastic to aluminum?**
A: I found this glue to be ineffective even gluing plastic together.  I did not try plastic to aluminum but I really doubt that it will work.

**Q: Will this work to seal gaps where a refrigerator seal has loosened?**
A: Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, the Loctite Plastics Bonding System will not gap fill.

**Q: What is the set time?**
A: I broke the ear piece on my glasses. I applied the loctite plastic glue to the broken part and in about an hour I was wearing my glasses and so for the last three weeks the repaired part is still holding together.

EDIT: Two years later and still holding strong. I recently had to pull apart some silicone rubber that I had glued to PVC. The glue bond was extremely strong, the rubber tore without the glue bond ever letting go at all. That's the most you could ask for. It also works well for metal to plastic. I keep this handy for all sorts of plastic repairs and builds. First I'll have to say that the little tube of glue that comes with this turned out to be useless, it just glued itself shut. Tried SEVERAL products in an attempt to glue together broken plastic toy parts. The ONLY one to "fuse" the broken pieces together was the Loctite Super Glue Plastics Bonding System. Even plain old Loctite couldn't get the job done.

It's hard to find glue that will work on every plastic, and this one doesn't. BUT, it works on most of the plastics I have tried, including ABS. I did have a problem with PVC, but I guess that is why they make PVC cement. For most plastics, this product works for medium duty applications.
