Washed-up revolutionary Bob (Leonardo DiCaprio) exists in a state of stoned paranoia, surviving off-grid with his spirited, self-reliant daughter, Willa (Chase Infiniti). When his evil nemesis (Sean Penn) resurfaces after 16 years and she goes missing, the former radical scrambles to find her, father and daughter both battling the consequences of his past. Review: Best Movie in Years - Obviously, not a long review here but this is the best movie I’ve seen in years. Paul Thomas Anderson has written and directed another masterpiece. I am avoiding saying much about the movie details because I don’t want to spoil it. The film is long but seems like it was an hour. The actors are all great but DiCaprio and Penn are at their best. The newcomer, Chase Infinity, who plays a huge role, is a future star. The storyline, the action, the cinematography … everything about this movie is just amazing. I’ve read reviews of people who didn’t like the political aspect but it was essential to the story. I didn’t feel it was advocating as much as telling a pretty timely story about present day life. I saw it in the theater when it was re-released after the Award nominations and then immediately went home and ordered the blu Ray from desertcart. I’ve watched it several times because it is layered and a lot is happening. I am picking up new things each time. Oh yeah, Benicio del Toro is also excellent, as always. Great movie in every sense. Highly recommend. There’s a reason why it’s nominated for a bunch of Oscar Awards. Review: Top 3 PTA film for me - I don't think I've ever sat down to watch a movie because Leonardo DiCaprio was in it, yet the last couple films I have seen of his (this and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) reminded me how incredibly good he is. Everything about this film is top notch, masterful, and thoughtful. The incredible tension and the laughs that broke it in surprising ways at just the right times! I am so glad I knew nothing about this movie. The surprise of it was part of the joy! All I needed to know was new PTA. One Battle After Another immediately leapt to the top three for me, with Phantom Thread and Magnolia.

A run time almost as good as The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
After speaking with several other buffs, this should have been called: One Battle After Another: The Movie. It's rare for movies to juggle both comedy, action, suspense, and social commentary quite like this, it reminds me of other popcorn classics like Beverly Hills Cop staring Eddie Murphy...also from Coming to America, and...Bowfinger....and....Vampire in Brooklyn. While the run time is 2 hours and 42 minutes, I wonder why Paul Thomas Anderson didn't make it 3h 21m like another movie masterpiece: The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. The battle royal scene was pretty suspenseful, and the numerous rounds really are a testament to Leo's acting ability, no matter how bloodied he got, he was victorious in the end! Now as much as I'd love to give this 5 bags of popcorn, I can't in good conscious, so it's a 4 bagger and here's why: when I reached out to my friends at WB, they said they have no intention of releasing this on VHS, and true film buffs now that is the preferred medium for movie watching. However, the sheer number of battles that they fit into the 2 hours and 42 minutes is really pretty entertaining, so I'll give it another bag of popcorn, so my final rating for this movie is: 5 bags of popcorn, and and a little sword and shield for the next battle!

Hollywood Crap
It seemed like a cheap shot at current events. The Government is bad and criminals fighting against it are all good. Even Christmas is portrayed as evil. A complete waste of time and money. Weapons should have won best picture at the Academy Awards this year.

a must see movie
very interesting - different for sure - fun to follow the twists and turns - would not have figured it was Oscar worthy though. watched it 2nd time - thought maybe I missed somthing. No I don't think so - not quite Oscar material. Dicaprio and Toro are great. Penn (not aging well) is good - character is about as twisted as you get.

No special features, but optimum sound and picture quality
The movie was over hyped in my opinion, but it was still a very good drama. It gets five stars because the picture and sound quality is amazing. Blueray-disc's have superior sound quality. The digital down load is extremy easy to do, and theres mulitle options such as Fandango and Moviesanywhere. The downloand uploads extremly fast and all the Blue-rays special features also upload, so you can watch the special features on your phone or tablet if so desired as well as the movie of course. "One Battle After Another" has no special features, its just your basics, play, scene seletions and language.

I was able to get the blu ray using amazon. I tried to get it in best buy or target. It was fast and convenient through amazon. The movie is very good, not that great as the Godfather or The Lord of the Rings, but it was very good.
