## Description

A staple in the Iberia series, the C5-CE features a solid Canadian cedar top and mahogany back and sides. The construction is based upon the traditional Spanish Classical guitar with the exception of a soft cutaway and a slightly thinner neck. The Fishman Isys+ 2band pickup system produces a rich and natural sound when amplified - perfect for gigging and recording.

Review: Love My Cordoba C5-CE Left Guitar!!! - This guitar was a replacement of an older Cordoba acoustic electric classical guitar. In my search, I looked at different brands since the availability of moderately priced left handed cutaway classical electric guitars was more plentiful than it was 20 years ago. In the end, I decided to stick with Cordoba since it’s consistently one of the best in the classical guitar space. This guitar was actually less expensive than the guitar I had before. Action level was good - especially for someone who has to fight bouts of arthritis in my right hand) and the sound was a very nice surprise even without amplification. (I found some acoustic electrics guitar to have a thinner sound without using amplification.) The guitar body is beautiful and thicker than my prior guitar, which might contribute to the fuller sound. However, the guitar is amazingly light and maneuverable. I also love that this guitar has fret markers which my prior guitar didn’t. Yes, I know at some point, you shouldn’t need them… but I guess I’m not at that point. But the fret markers are on the side of the neck so, they’re only visible to the person playing the guitar (or someone flying a drone above you). One last note. I am grateful to desertcart for making it easy to acquire this guitar. Although Cordoba has many certified dealers, I quickly realized that acquiring a left hand version of this guitar through these dealers was going to more difficult and time consuming than I thought it should be. Acquiring this guitar through desertcart was easy and fast.
Review: Left Handed upside-down review and info - I am left handed but learned on friends' right handed guitars 20 years ago. I never switched over to actual left handed guitars until I had already been playing for many years, and since then I have systemically replaced my guitar collection with lefties. I still string them right handed though, as I primarily play extremely complex technical metal, thrash, and death metal. I also have a thing for classical guitar, and I finally decided to buy an actual classical guitar instead of playing classical on the Ibanez acoustic that I use for non-distorted stuff. After researching for quite awhile, I settled on this Cordoba. As with other reviews, I found it be a rather good value for the price tag. I am an expert guitarist and have come across very few guitarists in my 20 years of playing that can play classical guitar at my level, and I highly recommend this guitar. The intonation is great, it has the timbre of a thousand dollar+ model, the tuners are stiff (which you want in a classical guitar), it is lightweight compared to a lot of models, the frets are well done (not too thick, not too thin), the action is a little high (which you want if you plan to play flamenco or any classical that involves aggressive hand strumming), and it just plain plays and sounds good. My only complaint is that it has the standard coating on the back of the neck, whilst I prefer the non polished dry finish on my non-electrics. No big deal, as I'm accustomed to both. I specifically titled this review Left handed upside down for a reason. As I am a lefty who plays upside down, and I have a lot of experience modifying lefty guitars for right handed stringing, I can offer unique information that others like me would really appreciate hearing: This guitar requires NO modification. Both the saddle and the nut are designed in a way that makes switching up the stringing effortless. Unlike my Ibanez acoustic, which I had to buy a right handed saddle and nut for, this one requires no such thing. This is the first guitar in 13 years that I didn't have to modify. A win all around.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Spanish for Flamenco.
*by N***C on August 6, 2015*

This guitar was bought for my older son, he is studying music in college and needed a new guitar in order to keep up with the classes. He had a Dean España Series that were a big improvement from the one that started with. We tested the Cordoba in a local dealer to see if it was the right guitar for him and if he was comfortable with it. We tested a C5 Thin Body, because that was the one the dealer had a that time, the difference from the C5 is only the thin body, the sound is about the same, a great warm sound with rich high tonalities. The finish is awesome, very well crafted and great looking finish, also the electronics are superb. At the end we ended buying the C5 instead of the C5 Thin Body because it came Left Handed (C5 Thin Body do NOT come left handed). The seller, that is Calido Guitars set up the guitar for us at no extra charge and also send it to us Express Delivery, we are very very happy with the service that Calido Guitars gave us and also for the quality of the product itself.
