Good quality
Put this on my natures comfort outdoor wood stove. Worked well and was easy to install. Good quality built and good reputation. This is my second one.

7 years in, going strong
Quiet and reliable. Wish it had an integrated bleed valve (maybe they do now, they didn't in 2016). I'd recommend installing a ball valve with bleeder on the inlet side (bleeder facing away from the pump) if using for recirculation, bleeding the system is critical for operation, and has to be done every time my plumbing is drained. Ymmv.

Great pump replacement
After 20 years of service in our radiant floor heating system 1 of the 2 Grundfos pumps began running noisily. Probably my fault for unknowingly letting it run without water for some period. Not good. The original unit (UP15-18SF)was no longer available so ordered the UPS15-58FC as the replacement. The install was a perfect fit and fairly easy except for one thing. The sealing gaskets included with the new pump leaked. I took it back apart and used the original gaskets from my old pump (see picture) and it sealed up perfectly. It may just be my old fittings but something to be aware of.

which is amazing based on the amount of water it pumps
I use this pump to circulate spa water, to and from a hot water heater. I have had my spa for maybe 25 years and this latest Grundfos is perhaps my 3rd one. It is run day and night, 24/7. The pump is absolutely silent, which is amazing based on the amount of water it pumps. The pump draws about 25 watts of electricity continuous, so I don't think it affects my electric bill very much. This is a cast iron pump, so my spa water with the spa chemicals will eventually rust it shut requiring replacement. "Eventually" meaning years in my case. I have experimented with a lot of pumps for various applications, but this pump is by far the best I have found. I suppose I could buy the more expensive stainless version of this pump, but I can live with replacement every few years using cast iron. Remarkable product in my opinion.

Pump Thumbs Up
I replaced an existing Grundfos pump that went kaputt after 13 years. All the input from community regarding my questions was very helpful. The flange shape was slightly different but the O ring fit both openings that were already plumbed in. I tightened the bolts and no leaks thank goodness The old pump was single speed , the new one 3 speed. I cut the difference and set it to medium. I was able to use the existing power cord and connected easily to the pump’s electrical configuration. Quiet and most importantly instant hot water. I ordered the flange kit, but didn’t need it since It came with new O rings and was able to use the same housing and bolts that were there already. If I even get half the life I got from the last one, I will be very satisfied because the price is right.

Grundfos brute 3 speed 1/25 hp recirculator pump
You will need to plumb in the pump by buying a flange set for the pump and then you will need to run 120 volts of electricity to it. You can easily run this pump off a photo voltaic power grid because it is so good at using electricity. I used it on my solar hot water heater for the hot tub. Works great and pumps about 4 to 5 gallons per minute.(this will vary depending on length of run and height water must be pumped to plus sos(some other stuff)) It keeps my hot tub(1500 gallon size) at a perfect 100 degrees all day for under 5 cents of electricity per day. (based on 6 hour average day of sun year around) So use this pump in conjuntion with a solar hot water heater and keep your hot tub perfectly hot for about $1.26 per month.

Buyer Beware
So, here's my story. I did purchase one of these products in March of 2012 through Amazon.com LLC, because it was the lowest price AND did qualify for free shipping. By June of 2012, though, the circulator had stopped circulating. When I contacted Amazon, I was informed that the product could not be returned or exchanged, because too many days had elapsed. Amazon said to contact Grundfos regarding any warranty. I did just that and was told (this is pasted from them) "I'm afraid that Grundfos does not permit the online sale of our pumps so no authorized distributors would be selling them online, that we are aware of. If you reply to the seller and ask them to submit a warranty request we might get lucky, however. If it is indeed one of our distributors selling online, all warranties would have to go through them. The pump you are talking about has a 36 month warranty if sold through an authorized distributor." In response, I sent Grundfos the link to Amazon, which lists six online sellers. And I told them that I would write this review. Done. Buyer beware.

The Grundfus Circulating Pump was ordered on a Friday at 5:00 pm and it was delivered (free) to my door the following Monday at 9:00 am. It appears the unit was shipped from Mississauga, ON vs. the Seller location in Victoria, BC. The Amazon pricing was very favourable compared to local bricks & mortar vendors. Packaging at the Amazon Distribution Centre was adequate but not outstanding... Grundfos documentation states: "Take care to ensure the pump is NOT dropped or mishandled; dropping will damage the pump". Clearly written & illustrated instructions are included together with a pair of new rubber gaskets. The replacement pump was virtually identical to the original 18 year-old unit with worn out bearings. Installation was straight forward and took less than 5 minutes (excluding preparation & clean-up). I'm disappointed Grundfos does not design these units to be refurbished with new bearings & seals but recommends "Disposal in an environmentally sound way". Overall, a very good experience and highly recommended.

Installed in the circulation line for our underfloor garage heating system. At first it squealed quite a bit and it didnt seem to be moving any fluid at all. I uninstalled it and removed the white plastic backblow valve on the output side of the pump, then primed the pump from the output side but filling the line with fluid and reconnecting it. After that the pump was nearly silent and we could see the fluid moving very quickly through the lines. If this pump is operating properly you shouldn't hear much noise, its a barely noticeable hum.

Very good

Installed in a hydronic heating application to replace a 10 year old pump that developed a leak. Corrosion and pinhole leaks can be an issue with these pumps. The three speed switch for this model makes it suitable for a variety of applications with different head requirements.

This product looked good but just doesn't work as described. I has a plumber come and install it . The pump wouldn't work .After a couple of hours of the plumbers time he discovered the 3 speed switch is the culprit. I certainly wasn't planning on having the plumber here for a couple of hours!
