Intel PWLA8390MT Pci 10/100/1000MBPS Adapter

I bought this Network card to replaced the integrated 10\100 card on my intel motherboard for a NAS on my home network. I installed it in a PCI slots and rebooted the server and it was already installed as soon as I logged in. I have been streaming movies, home videos, accessing files, for the past month and have had no issues. This seems to be a true intel card that works very well at gigabit speeds.If you plan on streaming high def video using local files or over the net, I would recommend this card over any other. The installation was easy and for a bonus, this card comes with a little driver disk.The shipment was fast (4 business days VIA USPS). Came in a box then inside the box was a plastic casing with a disk inside._INSTALLATION_Unplug your power cord from machine, take the side panel off of your pc, remove one of the plates in front of the PCI card on your board and carefully install this card into one of your PCI slots (White) on your motherboard and install the screw for the back plate to the tower. Please be sure to keep the network cable in the original port for windows to install the drivers for you (Windows 7 and up). Put the cover back on and plug the pc back in and power the pc on. Once you login, check to see if the new card has been discovered by windows and is installing. Once you know that the card has been successfully installed, connect your network cable into the newly installed network card and you should see the led's on your new intel card aluminate. Once the card is plugged in, open your web browser and see if you can get out to the net (Google...ETC...).. If the drivers don't install properly, simply use the drivers that came with the card by running the installation wizard and pointing the installation to the files on the disk. This Lan card works exceptionally well. I previously had a computer with the same type of modem built in that got hit by lightning and I bought this as a replacement, It was a good choice, I watch Netfixt, and stream videos with no problems

I installed in a HP dc7700 ultra slim desktop, being as a UTM device.

works great in linux. intel pro chip set.
