Almond Basbousa/Hareesa/Nammoura Semolina Cake

Sweet but not sickly sweet.Excellent warmed up or cold straight from the tray.Has a lovely 'clean' rosewater syrup that is sweet, tasty, and keeps the cake moist but doesn't 'sog the cake down'. Lovely floral note but not 'soapy' or 'perfume-y'.The semolina has a lovely toothy-ness without feeling crunchy, gritty, or undercooked.A classic simple dessert with some subtle complexity, that would work for grown ups and kids alike.I have to struggle not to just tuck into the tray with a fork by myself!! Tastes fabulous with a strong cup of black tea or mint tea!!Very well packaged, arrived perfectly safe (from IL to WA!) and ready to eat!! Half tray was larger than expected, so plenty of servings for everyone. Very!! reasonable price for the quantity and quality. Super thrilled with my purchase!!💓😋

This is the fifth time I order this, it tastes just like what a basbousa should taste like. Was packaged with TLC. Seller is very responsive and nice. I made a mistake with the address and they shipped me another one on them. Very much recommended, you won’t regret it. It makes a really nice birthday “cake” for an Arab/middle eastern friend. & a great gift for your middle eastern parents. ❤️❤️

It was fresh at all

Product was good .Most important thing is shipping cost. It's a lot. Even though if I want to order ,will not. Or it should be overnight for that cost.

These taste just like the ones I used to eat growing up. Very tasty and you can tell the ingredients are all natural. The packaging was very impressive too. I usually get other brands that arrive all mangled up but not this one! It arrived really well put together as if I just got it out of the oven at home.
