Seamless operation and impressive performance
The worst part is its pricey. What was most important to me was for it to operate seamlessly within my system Sound system HAD to come on with the tv and cable box or it was going back I bought the bose new ultra soundbar first and got it working with little trouble, ordered this later Hooked it up with the 3.5 mm cable NOT included (cmon Bose, if I spend seventeen hundred dollars on a premium sound system, the least you could do is send me the cable to hook up with). Installation only took a couple minutes. I turned it on with the Bose music app and it just connected. No fuss. One button turns everything on and that controller also works the volume, You can change the speaker level (I set it to 20) and the bass/treble bias (I left it flat) I tried several movies one of which was the 1974 blockbuster Earthquake. It was filmed using Sensurround and gave a visceral feeling of being in the earthquake. This system is very close to that original sensation. VERY impressive. If the soundtrack is such that you don't need a big bass push it sits there unobtrusively until it's called upon. I also played Phantom of the opera. The overture must be heard to be believed. Streaming music is a joy. It is possibly the best music system I have ever owned. The short answer is, if you want the best but don't need to fill a theater drop the dime and get this system. I doubt you will be disappointed.

It works great and sounds just as fantastic. The clarity is amazing and to feel the base when things happen in movies makes you feel like you are in a movie theater. The size and look of it are perfect.

Pricey, but Powerful and Worth Every Penny
The Bose 700 subwoofer is sleek, solid, and compact enough to discreetly fit in a corner or beside a couch, perfect for adding the bass your soundbar or home theater setup is missing. I paired it with the Bose 700 soundbar, and together they deliver an immersive, room-filling sound experience. The bass is deep, clean, and fully adjustable through the Bose app, which makes it easy to tailor to your space. Setup was effortless, thanks to Bose’s ADAPTiQ calibration system that optimizes sound based on your seating location. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, especially since the soundbar is sold separately, but if premium sound matters to you, this subwoofer is absolutely worth the investment.

Great addition to our entertainment system for the money.
A great addition to our Bose Surround Sound system. Gives watching movies an additional layer of sound.

No Warranty
Absolutely love the sound bar, crisp and clear, however, when I registered the sound bar with Bose the warranty was already expired. So buyer beware no warranty and I bought it thru the Bose store. There was no where for me to contact the seller to ask about it. If the sound wasn't so good I would return the item and get somewhere else with a warranty. Still may do it!!

Some of the cleanest, clearest bass I've ever felt
Take it from a bass head who loves some deep, tasty bass - this thing kicks out some of the cleanest-sounding bass I've ever heard. It's not necessarily IN YOUR FACE RATTLE YOUR HOUSE bass (...but it definitely can be if you turn it all the way up... in which case, enjoy!) it's natural sound profile is that it's just sort of, like, there. It's both subtle and substantial. You 'feel' it just as much as you hear it, which to me means you're getting very clean lows. I think a lot of people's perception of good/strong bass is a bit tainted because it usually correlates with everything around it rattling to hell and adding to the 'bass' noise. Not saying that's bad per se, just that the sound coming from this thing is a lot of both the bass 'feel' and the bass sound, because it's not distorted... It's hard to describe, but it's a great experience. It makes sense if you know the classic Bose sound profile from other Bose speakers which emphasizes crisp, clean sound. This is like that, but for bass. And it's great. Wireless works great. Setup is a breeze. I paired this with Bose 700 soundbar and you have to go into the app, click the soundbar, go to settings, and then 'add auxiliary speaker' or something... It's not added/set up in the app the same way as the sound bar was which is what I was expecting. I placed this in the corner of the living room, whereas the TV and sound bar are in the middle. I was worried it would be noticeable the bass was coming from the corner and it wouldn't sound balanced in the room, but it didn't make a difference to me. Because it's such clean bass, and it's felt just as much as it is heard, the directionality wasn't a problem and it sounds fantastic. It just layers on this nice rich low-end to the already beautiful sound profile of the sound bar. The combination is magnificent. Build quality is fantastic, thing feels sturdy and robust. The glass and metal exterior is very clean looking. My wife said it sort of looks like a high-end trash can at first glance...? (we have the white one) I can't say I totally disagree but I think it looks very nice and minimalist. It easily tucks under a side table or next to a couch or chair and out of sight anyways.

Keep Wifi Devices Minimal
When you first get them and hooked up, they play excellent. Then give it a week or two and as they play, starts popping sound and goes out. It comes back on and still continues to pop. Someone needs to evaluate this because I have two, purchased at seperate times, that do the same thing. I thought the first one was damaged but I was sorely wrong. I love the Bose Bass sound and old quality, but these cost too much money to have these problems. If I could get a refund, I wouldn't hesitate. I don't know anyone that can repair these things. Buy At Your Own Risk... I MUST RETRACT THE ABOVE. AFTER FURTHER REVIEW, THIS SPEAKER IS GREAT. IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF DEVICES ON YOUR NETWORK, THAT WILL CAUSE THE POPPING SOUNDS. IT IS STARVING FOR A SIGNAL. I HAVE A LOT OF DEVICES AND ONCE I REMOVED SOME, THESE BABIES BUMP GOOD.

Flawed product at a premium price - avoid!
I purchased this with a Soundbar 900 and Surround Speakers. I was immediately underwhelmed by the power of the bass. It's decent, but for $800 I thought it would be much more powerful. I usually have it set at 80% volume when watching TV, but even at 100% it's not "obnoxious." For the money I thought it would have more power to spare. However, the bass is clean and crisp (when it's working properly). What's really annoying is the known interference issue others have mentioned. Oftentimes there will be an intermittent "popping" noise. I quickly learned this is due to wireless interference. Bose suggests you connect the sub to your soundbar with a wire to solve this issue. Completely unacceptable for such an expensive product. I've purchased a total of 3 (returning the first 2) trying to improve the interference issue. Interestingly, unit #3 has way less severe interference compared to the first 2, but it'll still happen occasionally. After 3 months of being somewhat satisfied with unit #3, it stopped working after listening to loud music for a few hours one night. When I went to inspect, the unit was pretty hot but the LED light was still illuminated. Since I'm well beyond the return window, but within warranty, I contacted Bose. They've agreed to let me ship the unit for repair, but it could take up to 6 weeks. That's awful customer service! They should just send me a replacement immediately upon receiving the broken unit. After all, it was very expensive and it's only 3 months old. I'm frustrated that I purchased this whole Bose system and wish I went with another brand. However, I'm kind of stuck because all the components are beyond the return window and I've mounted the speakers to the wall. I'll get the sub repaired and hope for the best, but I doubt I'll ever buy another Bose product again.
