Great product for anyone w/ sensitive skin or chemical sensitivities --- works well in most machines & environmentally conscious
I bought this as an alternative to Tide's Free & Gentle because the price at the time was significantly lower. While this is marketed as a baby laundry detergent product, the only child in my house is Lilly and she's a rabbit (and given she is potty trained, has fur, and cleans herself, I do not need laundry detergent for her.) More or less my need was for something that cleaned reasonably well but did not irritate my skin as certain dyes and fragrances can. Overall, this does what I need it to do and I think it is a good product.*From my own usage, I have found that Seventh Generation...---Does NOT irritate sensitive skin---Does NOT irritate asthma (despite it having some scent to it)---Does NOT leave any residue on clothes (which can lead to skin irritation)---Does NOT actively brighten colors (nor does it fade colors, either)---Does an OK job at removing stains (like Tide's product, I think it works very well for this sort of product designed with sensitivities in mind, but with that said I sometimes need to use some sort of a pre-treatment stain-remover for tougher stains, which I do not mind but wanted to note for someone who wants a true all-in-one product, as this is not it)---Does a good job at removing sweat stains (again taking into account how this is made for sensitivities instead of being an aggressive cleaner)---Does an excellent job at removing sweat odors---Works equally-well in front loading and side loading machines---Works equally-well in both standard and HE machines---Has a top cup design that is not very durable and does not hold up well to handling seen with shipping (some of mine occasionally arrive with a cracked cup)I figured I would list my observations individually in the event that certain ones apply to you more than others. But overall, 7th Gen works really well. As an added bonus, this is a product that is mindful of the environment, which is always a good thing. So whether you use this for babies or for someone with sensitive skin or for someone who prefers to avoid certain chemicals found in most detergents, this is a great product and it can often be had for a great price***..((((***Note that I have observed this is one of those products in which the price varies substantially, and shifts on a frequent basis...if you add this to your cart and monitor it over a few days or weeks, you may be able to get a better deal on it than the current pricing! *Also note that this stuff is super-concentrated, so dosing correctly is important [when I first got it, I did not believe such a tiny cap-full was sufficient for a full-load, but it was and is.]))))

Eco-friendly and Light Fragrance
Delicate. Light smell and clothes seem clean. I like fresh and clean smelling clothes and this is a really light fragrance. If you like delicate fragrance while using safe and eco-friendly products, I would agree this nails that.

best detergent
Seventh Generation Concentrated Laundry Detergent in Free & Clear Fragrance-Free formulation has become a staple in my household for several reasons. As someone with sensitive skin, I appreciate its gentle yet effective cleaning power. It effectively removes stains and odors without causing irritation or triggering allergies, making it suitable for the whole family. The detergent is plant-based and free from synthetic fragrances, dyes, and optical brighteners, which aligns with my preference for eco-friendly products. The concentrated formula means that a little goes a long way, making it cost-effective per load compared to other brands.I also appreciate Seventh Generation's commitment to sustainability. The detergent's packaging is made from recycled materials and is designed to be recyclable, reflecting their dedication to reducing environmental impact. However, while it performs well on everyday laundry, some users may find that it doesn't tackle tough stains as effectively as more heavy-duty detergents. Additionally, the lack of fragrance may not appeal to those who enjoy scented laundry products. In conclusion, Seventh Generation Concentrated Laundry Detergent is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a reliable, eco-friendly detergent that's gentle on skin and the environment. It combines effective cleaning power with a commitment to sustainability, making it a standout option in the market.

Seventh Generation Free & Clear Laundry Detergent in a tiny bottle
This bottle is tiny! I got it with one day shipping from Amazon. I have never seen such a tiny bottle of Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent. The size I usually get is 135 oz, and this one is 40 oz.It has less plastic content just because it is smaller. It looks likely to leak when I first try to use it. I think it will travel well, though I am using it at home. To be honest, it would be easier for me to use if it were bigger. The appearance is, a very small bottle.

Seventh Generation Laundry
I was having a hard time to find Laundry Detergent I could use. I kept breaking out in eczema. Since switching to 7the generation I have had no problems , it’s worth what you pay.I add exactly what they tell you to each load. It’s cleans perfectly and has a fresh clean smell. It’s easy to life I love this size since I have asthma the bigger bottles are harder to lift.It cleans better than any detergent I have used. Its environment friendly, and I recycle the plastic bottle after its empty.

New green color cap design is horrible
They changed the cap design and its awful. The lines on the new cap are impossible to read without a bright light at the right angle and the cap is prone to leakage and build up, you cannot touch the cap without getting detergent on your hands. The OLD cap was easy to ready as it was transparent with large clear lines and it was designed with the measuring cup in the middle of the cap so that you did not and up with detergent leaking/dripping out and onto the cap threads. The detergent is fine, it has worked well for me for 8 years and counting. I boost white loads and heavy soil loads with oxiclean and its quite effective.I hope Unilever will change the cap back or give it another re-design with some product testing.
