These plates are great. My old mother has bad arthritis and quite severe Alzheimer's and these Wrova plates and bowls are lightweight and strong and so easy for her to use. Being lightweight is great for her wrists and the bright colours cheer her up every meal time. So they would probably be great for kids too. So far, I have the pasta bowls, the large deep plates, the smaller deep plates, cereal bowls and now these standard flat plates. All of them are excellent for my old mother, and I am now used to them too. The only thing I would watch out for is using them in the microwave. If you have a thick sauce that can overheat on the edges while reheating/cooking, then the places where they overheat will pit badly. These are only good for roughly 120C, so a microwave can be quite harsh under that condition. For normal microwaving, I have had no problems at all. The plates I have used for the past 9 months or so have gone through the dishwasher safely too, no discolouring or fading, they are still vibrant and feel like new.

This is my first foray into Wrova products and I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting more of their stuff after using these plates. These plates are really very well made, they feel like the old melamine plates of the old days, but much much better quality and far less clinky when placed together. When dropped, they really do just bounce no matter what the surface. The eight plates I had came in four different colours, two of each, and are of a matt slightly textured finish. This texture is enough to keep food from flying off the plate when cutting a steak for example but isn’t rough enough to create that irritating squeak when the cutlery moves around the plate. The underside has a wonderful wavy pattern of concentric lines and this helps with grip on chilly camp nights and also if you have issues with your hands or fingers. They clean well, I’ve only done hand washing with them so far, but they are dishwasher safe. Considering you get eight plates for, at the time of review £14.99, I think this is fantastic value considering they are unbreakable and of such high quality for my needs. Will certainly consider this brand in the future.

I have really enjoyed using these plates over the past couple of weeks. I have EDS and my fingers wrists (every joint) dislocates and I often drop things a lot which means plates don’t last long in my house and I often have to resort to plastic or paper plates so when I saw these in a variety of colours and how they were dishwasher friendly I jumped at them They are really nice to eat off not scratchy or plastic picnic feeling they are much thicker but not heavy. They are a very good quality and you can feel that when you hold one: I’ve washed these a few times in the dishwasher and was so happy that there was ZERO warping or distortion in the plates sent through on a high temp wash! Will be purchasing these in all colours soon as they also bounce well (shame the food on them doesn’t have the ability to stick with it but can’t have everything!) Good value, amazing quality and they wash fantastic too!

I am super impressed with these plates, they are almost indestructible. And if you are thinking that’s not what I need in a plate, right? Well if you are the parent of twin boys who are partial to using plates as airplanes, you need these plates! I have a set of bowls from the same manufacturer, and I can confirm they are excellent quality. They are really well made, these are durable and certain to last a long time. The range of colours is excellent, they are vibrant and great. These are a good sized plate - plenty of space for food. These are dishwasher safe and are just all round brilliant.
