Convert your microphone to wireless
I bought these to use with my microphone. They work well, no noticeable difference in the sound. No noticeable latency or dropout issues. Battery life seems good. Though I have not tested the extent of the battery duration. I have used other Xvive products and found them to be reliable and robust. These came up to my expectations. Not cheap but value for money. If you have an expensive microphone and want to go wireless this could well be the product for you.

Initial tests....
....using an Audio Technica AT897 condenser microphone and a Tascam DR-60D field recorder. As the device does not provide phantom power I had to pop a AA battery into the mic and turn off phantom power on the Tascam. If your mic needs phantom power to work and does not have the facility to insert a battery then this device will unfortunately not work for you. They do now offer a new version of the device that provides phantom power but at a higher price. The device worked flawlessly even when the transmitter and receiver were in separate rooms. There is slightly more noise than with a cable but it's barely noticeable. If this is a distraction for you then basic noise reduction software can easily remove the noise. Check out the Accusonus ERA bundle which includes a one-click noise reduction plugin that works on most NLE platforms. My router is also in the same room in which I conducted the tests and there was no interference at all that I could detect. Overall I would definitely recommend this product.

The best
I was looking for a wireless solution for my audio system, when I tested this product I was so happy with performance that I am looking forward to buying one to complete my setup.

They do the job well
Easy to use and set up. Some reviewers have mentioned that they don't always click into their mics properly, but I've used several different mics and never had a problem. I've not noticed any real degradation in sound quality using them live, maybe in a studio you might but it'll be very slight. EQ should sort that. I've not run the batteries out, so can't comment on their life as once used, I recharge anyway. Sure make a radio mic that is cheaper, but I like the flexibility of using any mic.

Not as good as leads
I thought I’d try these out on mic and also PA but not impressed at all as it loses quality. I’ve tried it in shure beta and my super 55 but the went back to leads as I didn’t like the loss in clarity. I have tried it on my QSC pa but once again put them on cable as the quality was lost.

Fantastic sound.
Great sound, fantastic range and robust build. A lot of money but worth every penny. Recommended to all singers.

May not fit all mics
These are great for the money, only thing to bare in mind is that it will not lock into place on some mics, well not on my EVnd967a everyone anyway, it probably suits sm58 I dont know. *# update after 3 years of use it has been brilliant, well looked after and charged after each use, sadly the battery is not the problem, suddenly during a practice the mic cut out and now the green light only stays on at a distance of about 15cm or less, if someone could shed some light on this i'd appreciate it. i've tried different charge cables, testing unplugged and on the same thing, the mic only works when green light is on which fades in at that distance and out at further than then then loses the signal. It's a shame as when I bought this it was pretty cheap but now the average price is doubled, so if anyone has a fix for this rf signal loss please let me know otherwise it'll be back to the cable for a while :(

Impressed this singer who always said he'd never go wireless!
It only takes one frustrating experience during a live performance to turn a singer off of wireless for life! I've had more than one over the years, some due to limited range/interference, but mostly batteries dying mid performance. I said I'd never go wireless again. In addition to leading Sunday Worship, I am also fronting a classic rock cover band for fun on the weekends. Our sets are high energy, and we play in a wide variety of settings. Some venues provide plenty of room to move, and I found myself wanting more freedom to cover the stage, engage with my bandmates, and generally bounce around and have a good time! I wasn't thrilled about going wireless, but I also don't need to trip over a mic cable. Also, I LOVE my mic! A wireless mic of comparable quality was going to easily run me $400-500. Last but not least, I use a little pedal to provide some reverb and compression. I was unsure if the wireless setup would play well with my pedal. Then I saw the X-Vive U3! It was getting rave reviews, was priced well, and would let me keep my beloved wired mic. With Amazon's return policies and an upcoming gig, I figured I'd give it a try. Worst case I could return it if it failed to meet expectations. I was/am impressed! Super easy to use and set up out of the box. It's small and sleek, but solidly built. Had about a 40% charge out of the box, and the included double micro-USB cable brought it to 100% quickly. I tested it at home with my pedal and a keyboard amp. Mic --> Transmitter --> Receiver --> Pedal --> XLR cable --> amp. Worked great! At the gig I knew range would not be an issue, since it only need to reach my pedal, which I keep by the monitors at my feet. Sound was outstanding! I observed no latency or signal degradation at all. Most impressive was the battery life. We typically do a 3 hour gig separated into 3 sets with 5-10 minutes between. My intent was to charge the unit between sets, but at the end of the 1st set the LED indicator for 50% power had not yet come on. So I put off the recharge. End of 2nd set, same thing! Still above 50% charge! This little unit went the entire 3 hours and never got below 50%! Amazing! Got another gig coming up, so hopefully we'll see a repeat performance from the U3.
