Installation was easy, no drilling, annoying wires, or professional installation needed. Motion detection is good also. I’m surprised at the strong reviews for this product. Not necessarily because it is a poor product, but rather that it was very frustrating figuring it out. The instructions do not go over a crucial step, which is pairing the keypad to the base station. Nowhere in the instructions does it say that it’s necessary or how to do it. However, there is a QR code in the instructions that takes you to MORE instructions online, where finally I found it. To save you time, here is what to do: Turn both the base unit and keypad on. Press the set button on the base unit, it should beep and the signal indicator light should turn on. On the keypad, make sure it’s in the disarmed state, and then press SET, 6666, #, 10, #. Besides that, the unit was easy to connect to the Smart Life app and was already paired with the remote controls, door sensors, and motion detector. It responds pretty fast to the sensors. You can put a 3G or 4G SIM card in so that the keypad can communicate with emergency services. However, there aren’t any instructions as to what exactly the SIM card needs, i.e., what kind of service, etc. The problem is, where I live, 4G is being phased out for 5G.

This security system is easy to install and mount on your doors/windows. It can be seen at night because of the small dots of light which makes it nice for remembering where you e put it. It will definitely alert you to a door opening because this thing is loud!!! Honestly, it’s kind of loud to a fault. My biggest complaint is there’s no volume feature to allow you to customize it to your needs. The app controls are handy and the battery has lasted well over a month so far. This is a nice item for the money, but it would be great if you could customize the volume.
