This keeps changing to Bluetooth mode then back to pc mode then back to Bluetooth it can't just keep to one or the other ffs

Had this unit for about a week. Connected to my PC via USB (for both power and data). It needs constant resetting to actually play any sounds and keeps dropping into "Bluetooth Mode" when not actually using BT mode... About as useful as the proverbial chocolate fireguard or a spare handle on a toothbrush. (UPDATE - after less than a week it's now in the bin and I've ordered something a bit better. This time I'll keep the packaging for a return!)

Waste of money, should have gone more expensive. Switches between bluetooth and PC mode about 20 times a minute, making it basically unusable. Buy cheap buy twice as they say. I threw the packaging away so this has made its way to the tip electricals pile, what a waste.

not good for me

First off I was not paid for this review with a free speaker. My review is my own and feel it to be of great value to those who read it. I don't write long drawn out reviews but with so many terrible reviews on a lot of crap on Amazon I feel it as an Amazon customer I review this item fairly. First off I've owned numerous Bluetooth items, mainly them speakers and 1 pair of ear buds which I love and still own. I work in a BBQ Pit, in Kansas City, home of the '85 & '15 Champion Royals & this coming Super Bowl Champs Kansas City Chiefs, you read it here first. My environment is smoky, hot in the summer and freezing in the winter, all elements which this speaker is exposed to. My speakers are used, no joke, 60-80 hrs a week. I have burned through 3 previous speakers in the past 5 years all with a price point of $20 or less. I have an expensive, nice speaker for my home which will remain there. Here's my tutorial for those Bluetooth inept or choose not to read instructions. I do not use this speaker for phone calls but in current reviews I've seen the feature work well. This speaker is easy to set up, first I suggest powering it up with the power cord and make sure it's fully charged. Next turn on the speaker and then go to your chosen device and choose connections then choose Bluetooth for nearby Bluetooth items. K2 is the name of the speaker then choose that. The device will make its "bloop bloop" sound and your device will confirm its connected. That part took me longer to write than it did to connect to the speaker. Simple set up. Now for the sound. First off I chose the rose gold color because it was cheaper, I don't think the color makes a dramatic difference in the item and I work mostly alone in BBQ Pit so what do I care what the color looks like. If you're a dude like me and you want the black color, whatever bro, you do you. Ok the sound, IT'S A $10.99 (what I paid, now I see its $8 for the rose gold color) SPEAKER!!! It's not going to have a booming bass and crisp sound, but what it does have is a great sound FOR THE PRICE! It's not muffled, tinny, echo-y, none of that. In fact for the price it sounds great! If you want to complain about the sound quality spend at least $50 + and you'll get what you're looking for, for this price you can't complain about the sound. Adjust volume simply on your phone or electronic device or push the volume up/down button once at a time until desired volume. Don't hold down the button unless you want to advance to the next song or back for the previous song. This isn't rocket science. Now for the battery. Fully charged I had this not on max volume and it was solid for 5 hours. The 'ding ding ding' sound let's you know the battery is running low so plug it in and recharge it. Speaking of plugging it in. I strongly suggest using the cord it came with and ONLY the cord it came with. In fact, I highly suggest doing that with all your electronics. I've found, and it could be just me, in the past when I've charged my devices with someone else's cord or a different cord it wears out the plug or place you plug it into on your device, it gets loose, the cord breaks down, whatever but that's just me and could only be me. Using the same plug that the device comes with, in my opinion, will extend its life. Now previous speakers I've used in the Pit stopped taking a charge or simply wouldn't connect to my device, that was at least 2 years of continual use and exposure to elements. Your devices with less use and great care probably would last longer. My speaker in my home is approaching 7 years with no issues but it's inside and not used constantly. If I get at least 2 years from this speaker I'll call it a score and buy another one, especially at this price. Excellent starter speaker or something you're not expecting to have a long shelf life, I hope I'm wrong. My suggestion if you made it this far is pull the trigger and buy it. *update* After one week and the rose gold color dropped another $2 I pulled the trigger on another speaker. For the price and sound buy 1 or 3. I got a second for backup, why not *6month update* Ok, so this speaker has been in 7* temps and recently 130* temps (read the review, I work in a bbq pit) humidity has been high thus making my work conditions that much hotter. Continued 5 hour battery life, continued amazing sound. I’ve actually dropped it on an occasion or two...still working like a champ. @lenrue if you got a next gen hit me up....actually, there’s no need for a next gen. Why mess with an inexpensive, when used properly, speaker. Continued support for this speaker, 80+ hours a week this thing is on. If this review doesn’t make you add this gem to your cart then you need to check your priorities in life. Nice job LENRUE 02/03/20 😂😂 How bout those CHIEFS!!!!! I purchased this speaker because I've been using the terrible built-in speakers on my gaming monitor for a while now. I really wanted an upgrade since I can barely hear audio even at maximum volume. I usually wear headphones with my pc anyway but I wanted proper speakers since wearing headphones for 6-8 hours a day gets pretty uncomfortable. I can say that this speaker/soundbar has fulfilled my needs and exceeded my expectations. This speaker is also great for aesthetics since the design of the speaker is simple, sleek, and fairly compact. I have the speaker sitting right under my monitor. It will sit perfectly with a normal desktop and especially a full gaming setup. The sound quality of the speaker is crisp and clear. The bass is there but not too great. It's what you'd expect for a speaker at this price range. The speaker does not make any sort of hissing or static noise. I'd assume that with a lot of cheap speakers, there would be a hissing or static noise if you blast them at full volume. I personally do not blast the volume and keep it around the 50-70 range which I think is optimal for watching videos, listening to music, or for online meetings. The speaker can get pretty loud but "loud" is relative to the person I guess. They do just fine for everyday use and for casual gaming too. The speaker also has blue LED lights on each side which I think looks really nice. The only thing is that I wish that the light could change colors to match my purple-themed setup but the blue looks fine. The lights can also be turned off by pressing a button on top of the speaker. There are four buttons on the speaker which include the two volume buttons, a button to pause, and the button for the light. The length of the speaker is a little bit larger than a foot. I'd say that it is fairly portable but it was a little larger than I was expecting. I love how easy the speaker was to set up. I plugged it on through USB and it connected immediately. I also like how the speaker shows up in my mixer in windows I can easily switch between different playback devices. All in all, this is an excellent product, especially for the price. 10/10 would recommend. PROS: -The speaker is visually appealing and looks sleek -portable and lightweight -has a clear sound with no static -easy connectivity through USB port -You're getting a great price and awesome value for the speaker CONS: -The speaker makes a loud noise when connecting or powering on which is pretty annoying. It scared the crap out of me when I first connected it lol -The blue LED light sometimes gets dim or starts to flash -There's no scroll wheel or knob for volume adjustment and only plastic buttons -The USB cord is pretty short and could be a bit longer

Sadly, there are no mounting holes on this sound bar. It's meant for desktop use only. Since my monitor is on an arm, I've no choice but to put it in storage.

This is a great product ( but wish it was 10w, hehehe ) but other than that, love it.
