1942 U.S. Combat Sword with Sheath

Historically accurate design, sturdy blade, and doesn't feel cheap, will be a nice man-cave wall item. Bonus points for it coming in early, originally was supposed to get shipped within a week but came 2 days later. Thank-you!!!

I bought this knowing that this wouldn't be more than just a novelty item that looks cool and matches my actual K bar knife. However I am very surprised with the quality of the blade very comfortable in the hand and it's super light I'm sure it will work well for chopping small branches and brush. heck it would make a good self defense weapon but I wouldn't be getting in any serious sword fights with it lol as far as general chopping and machete use though it'll work just fine. About the only thing that I can say that I'm disappointed about is the sheath and the strap on the sheath. It's very poor quality. I am going to make my own out of leather and give this sheath to my son for his plastic sword. Because the quality of the sheath is literally that of a child's toy. Other than that I am pleased with the purchase. It's a fun little item and it looks cool.

For the price, it’s great. It could be a little more sharp… but I could also just be picky… the last sword I ordered on Amazon did not even come sharpened with an edge and it was more than twice the price… this one is sharp enough to get most jobs done, depending on what the job is… It feels very much like a cable bar… Obviously it isn’t a cable bar, but I was very impressed with how much it actually does feel like my knife… one of the most noteworthy things I will mention is the weight. This blade is incredibly lighter than I anticipated… it feels very good. As for the build quality, I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for… In this case that could be a good or bad thing… I will say that I have not had any issues with it thus far and I have not had any Reason to believe that it is not structurally sound. I will say that the black paint used on the metal keeps coming off and getting on my hands, which is a little annoying… But like I said, you get what you pay for. For this I think I paid $40. I will gladly put up with having black smudges on my hands for a little while for $40… it’s definitely worth that… One more thing that I will mention… You can tell that the honing of the edge was rushed… You can literally see the lines across the edge of the blade where it was moved to swiftly across the grinding Stone or whatever it is, they used to hone the blade… it’s nothing that necessarily keeps it from doing what it’s designed to do and it is definitely something that you can iron out yourself on a grind stone at home if it bothers you that much… like I said… $40, I’ll live with it.

The sword is what you would expect. It has a few cosmetic blemishes, cheaply made, and obviously not going to hold up against anything solid but could still hurt someone. My issue is the sheath is so cheap this is the condition it's in after just a few days of wearing the sword. I mean the sheath is a nice bonus at the price point but at least make the snap guard able to last longer than a few days and find a way for the sword not to fray the sheath after being drawn only a few times. I'll update this on how durable the sword is if I ever use it on anything

I bought this sword for home defense. The sward was quite dull when arriving. That's fine with me. I have no intention of taking off an arm or a leg from the aggressor with this sword. The steel of this sword is quite soft. So, it was easy to sharpen this sword by myself. After it was sharpened, I am confident that it can do serious damages to any home intruder. It is much better than a broomstick. For less than $50, I am very pleased with this sword.

I purchased this a few beers deep not knowing what to expect. To my surprise this is actually quite nice. I love the size of it (19.75” blade and small double handed handle) and the blade is reasonably sharp and the leather wrapped handle is quite nice, seemingly on par with my actual KaBar. For the price I think this cannot be beat.
