Good simple joystick for the price.
Perfect for my application. I’m not a gamer, but I like my flight simulator. I wanted a simple usb joystick with a few buttons but not a full flight yoke. This fit the bill. Plugged in and worked with no additional configuration or calibration required.

a basic joystick that's funtional
An inexpensive joystick that fulfills its basic functions. I bought it to play some of my old flight sims from 20 yrs ago.Manual is non-existent but it's just a standard joystick that works. I don't know what are the extra buttons for but the main trigger does its job.Good deal.

They don’t think it be like it is...but it do.
Works great as a handbrake in my steering wheel setup for my PC, so I can feel like a true Japanese canyon drift master sensei of the gods. Also does what you need it to do in any flying game. Personally, I use it for Battlefield 4, and it doesn’t really help because I suck at flying anyway. It’s a great starter/budget flight stick so don’t expect too many bells and whistles. A handful of buttons and a tiny, but good enough, throttle is more than enough for your dorrito ridden fingers to grope. I was a little disappointed to find that the stick doesn’t rotate and that it’s really light which means hard pulls or pushes may tip it off balance. Add some weight or secure it to whatever it’s on and you should be alright, though.(Note) when trying to map buttons and directions, make sure the throttle is set to the middle to effectively turn the throttle “off” or else your game or system may pick up throttle inputs instead of stick inputs.

works fine, great price, some drawbacks
(One point that seems to be confusing people...though this is correctly labeled as a 3-axis joystick, the third axis is a small throttle control on the base, *not* twist-control for the rudder)When I first received the joystick, I was very happy with the quality at the price -- it's a comfortable stick (righties only), with a sufficiently sticky base that it doesn't move around on me. Within a few weeks of light to moderate use, there's already significant play in the stick (freely jiggling a couple of degrees about neutral without providing any input), which makes fine control a bit of a challenge, though overall calibration and functionality remain fine. It's adequate for my purposes (playing 20-year-old space sims), but even I would like to upgrade eventually. Still, the basics are solid enough that I'm not in any hurry to drop the big $ that will require.Overall I think this is likely an acceptable first joystick, or a joystick for someone who isn't sure whether they'll use a joystick often enough to justify spending much money...but I think almost anyone giving it significant use will want to upgrade before long. The build quality is just fine for such an inexpensive joystick, but it seems you get what you pay for in that regard.

Discontinued for a reason.
Build quality isn't terrible, but it's certainly not great.Weight is far too light for how stiff the stick it, so jumps off the table for too much.Compatibility with games is not amazing, and there's basically no documentation to help troubleshoot. As it predates Thrustmaster's modern software interfaces, there's no way to configure it or try and flash newer, less borked firmware. It's junk, simple as.

Great joystick for the money.
Plugged it in and it worked just fine. The only way to play a flight sim style game. Also works for the old Mechwarrior series of mech sims.

Great deal for less than $25
I bought this for my son to play Warthunder, FlightGear and HAWX. The joystick works great with FlightGear, no issues and it's very responsive....but forget about playing Warthunder either it. It's super laggy and miserable to use with that game. I later read mouse and keyboard are the best controls for Warthunder, which we found to be true. HAWX has like 10 versions of this joystick in their control options and we haven't found the right one to use for that game yet. But, for less than $25 you really can't go wrong.

The Basic Joystick That Just Works
Bought this to occasionally play Quake on my Linux workstation. The joystick was plug and play even on Linux. Works perfectly. Good basic design. Glad I got it. Good value at this price point.
