**UPDATE** - after a couple weeks, the case battery no longer holds a charge. It will only fill to one light (up to 25%) and hardly replenishes the phone at all. This is an absolute shame because I really liked the slim design and it worked well until it didn't. But because the case no longer serves its prime purpose of supplying a backup power source, I have to downgrade my review to one star.**************************************************First day review - This product fits the Samsung S8+. It came in a very generic plastic wrapped box with no manufacturer or brand name, just "Battery Case." It is made in China. There is an instruction insert that provides details/warnings about how to install and disassemble, and how to read the charge status. It says the shell needs 4-5 hours to fully charge and the shell with phone, 6-8 hours.I love the slim design of this phone case. It does not add any more length than my previous Otterbox Commuter and is not much thicker either. This was key in my decision to get this case since the S8+ is already long enough by itself. The case itself is not so slick that the phone will slip out of your hands, but it's not textured either.Placement and removal is easy. The bottom of the phone is anchored by the USB-C attachment in the phone case - you have to be careful removing the phone to not break the connection. The top of the phone just pushes in and out of the case and leaves me a little worried that over time, the phone could pop out - but it would still be anchored by the bottom USB connection. If I have any problems later with the phone slipping out, I will update.There is no screen protection. The beveled edges of the S8+ are easily accessible, more so than my Otterbox Commuter (although I don't use the edge function of my phone anyway - maybe you do). I have no idea how much protection this case would provide during a phone drop - it is not a test I intend to try out. The side buttons for the case work fine but are hard to locate as they are not raised. I haven't had any issues, as I've had my phone for a year and I know where they're at, but if you are new to this phone, this might be an aggravation. Because the case is ever so slightly thicker than my Otterbox Commuter, I find fingerprint placing a little difficult. I find I use more of my fingertip than the flat of my index finger. It's more of a feel issue and not a functionality issue - my phone is able to read my finger just fine with this case.Charging - There are four small LED lights on the back; pressing the silver button will illuminate the buttons to show how much charge the case has - 1 for 25%, 2 for 50%, 3 for 75%, 4 for full. You have to hold the little silver button for 3 seconds for the case to begin charging your phone. I have never gotten a full day out of my S8+, which is why I bought this case. Between one night and the following morning, I ran down both the phone and case to get empty batteries. I then plugged the phone with case into my charger. The phone charged fully but not the case. I'm not sure how the case is supposed to charge. I ended up having to remove my phone and charge the case by itself like a battery pack. Presently, it's been about 30 minutes or so, and the case is up to 50% charged - it has two solid lights and one blinking, indicating its charging up to 75%. Considering the case is removed and reapplied rather simply, this is a minor annoyance and one I'm sure can be figured out, but it does drop the product a star if for nothing else than lack of instruction. Unlike the Mophie brand, there is not a switch on the case to go back and forth from case to phone - you can only hold the silver button down for 3 seconds to switch to charging. In my short experience, doing so while your phone is at 100% will not charge the case because your phone, being at full charge, will not accept the external source. Will update later on how long I get out of a full phone and case charge.This case DOES NOT work with wireless charging stations.Overall - I think this is a wonderful case with a minor charging annoyance that I need to figure out. At a 25% the price of a Mophie, and much slimmer, it's a great bargain. If I run into any quality or performance issues down the road, I'll update.

For 20 dollars awesome case. Can charge phone from 100 percent 1 1/2 times. Not sure if it helps but I drained it then charged it completely for a few days and it works great

I really like this case, based on the price. There are compromises.1) As another reviewer mentioned, there is no real screen protection.2) I am in the process of getting mine replaced. The charging port worked fine with several different cables for several days. For some reason, I cannot get a cable to slide all the way into the port today. I see no blockage, and all of the cables work fine on my phone. No idea what is causing the issue.This device will get 5 stars, for value alone, if it will get me through to March, when the new S10+ is released.I'll repost my feedback after I've spent some time with the replacement.A slight redesign to bring the bevel out for more screen protection, and a better quality port, and they'll be able to sell these for $60.*Update* I received my replacement within a few days. I'm enjoying the battery case. It works great. This one has a better fit, actually. I've been using my phone all day and I am currently at 87% battery life.One last note. The case magnetically connects to the Mophie base in my truck. Bonus!
