Thin layer. The inside has unpleasant, polyester like feel. The fleece looks fitted on the picture. It crertainly is not. It ships from the UK. Expect absurdly slow shipping. Based on the reviews, I've order a size larger. I wish I did. I think the reviewers have gained some weight over the holidays, and are in denial abut this development. If you wear, or fit into M, order M.

5 star rating as this item is the usual "Regatta" quality, I like the fact that it's lightweight but warm and comfortable. I'd recommend this item to anyone who needs a warm but lightweight top.
