Plastic... very durable. My grandson has had this over 2 years and still in great shape!

yes, it separates the blender, plastic glass and the lid, but not the plastic blade

Hi. It’s plastic. But, with that said, I ALWAYS buy Melissa & Doug for their quality. I always used to buy Fisher-Price for the past 45 yrs but in the last 6 it’s ALWAYS MElissa and Doug. The toys always hold up great.
