I saw a negative comment about the font size from a purchaser reviewing this book. I would say that if your eyesight is 'normal' with or without spectacles, the font size is fine.The content is excellent and well presented. Everything you need to know to identify rocks. Not sure if all rocks are included, but certainly enough content for anyone. I like the illustrations, tables and especially that the images are in 4 colour print.I'm a newbie to Rockhounding, and I have to say... I've struck gold as the first book to buy to teach me to identify rocks. Fascinating reading!I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to identify rocks and Minerals.

I bought this book because for many years I have studied crystals and geologyIt is the perfect companion For the more expert geologist or a standalone book for someone who hasn’t read a lot about rocks and mineralsEach page has good clear photos and lots of information about the minerals or rocksThis book is more than a coffee table bookI would recommend it to anyone starting out with the interest in this field or to somebody who wanted to add another book with extra information to the collectionNice quality hardback book good value for money

This book arrived two days ago and i was amazed at the quality considering the very reasonable price. I have had a rock collection for many years which was originally collected and catalogued by a professor of geology. It has fallen into a parlous state from being stored carelessly in a garage. The cabinet has been restored by a friend and I am now refreshing all the specimens. This book will be an absolute godsend. I haven't been able to put it down since it arrived and it is just what I wanted. Clear text and photos and a delight to read which will motivate anyone thinking about taking up rock/mineral collecting, lapidary or pebble tumbling as a hobby. Highly recommended.

Beautiful book I love it.

This book is nothing short of fantastic. Gave it to my 11 year old grandson for his birthday with some fossils and stones and he was fascinated.
