The Basics of Public Budgeting and Financial Management: A Handbook For Academics And Practitioners 2nd Edition

This was one of the textbooks used for a Governmental Budgeting and Finance course I completed as a Public Administration student. This is a great book that well explains the aspects of the budgeting process for city, county, and state governments. Menifield also well explains the step by step process of developing a budget. This book is a keeper for the Public Administration library.

It is a good and easy read, especially for a textbook. I was able to highlight and search when needed. The authors used great examples that related to real life situations.

Easy to understand

This book was alright. It was a required read. The hw assignments were pretty terrible tho, especially the more technical ones.
