Saved the event video!
I am an amateur photographer. Video'd a friend's birthday event last night -slide show- at a private room in restaurant so it was fairly quiet and we didn't have the background noise of the entire restaurant. The venue provided a wireless mic but it didn't work well unless right at the mouth and the speaker had a hard time keeping it there so it went in an out. HOWEVER THIS tiny, light, inexpensive mic captured it all and very loud and clear. It saved my recording! I was truly amazed and would recommend it. My version did NOT come in a tin box or with a "dead cat" fuzzy top but I didn't need that for an indoor event. The directions were adequate and I had the read a couple times to see my questions really were answered, but could be improved with some troubleshooting tips because when we tested it at home before we couldn't really tell the difference between iPhone with and wo the wireless mic. At the event it was clear the mic did a great job and if I relied on the venue mic, it would not have been satisfactory audio. The speaker was always 20 ft from me and at times I wandered around the room and got up to 40ft away and the mic performed perfectly. Cautions: You can only use one mic at a time. Since I was fairly far away I couldn't see if the green light on the mic was always on. The receiver light plugged into he lightning port is red and also tiny and hard to see so you don't really know if it is working since there are no sound level bars to check. My advice is to keep checking both lights are on and solid. The included cable confused me as I thought it as to power the receiver, but when I re-read the directions it was clear the iPhone powers the receiver and the cable is to charge the mic. Make sure you charge the mic and the iPhone before the event. I also brought an external power source for the iPhone. You can indeed charge the iPhone THROUGH the receiver in the lightning port, but test that and make sure you hear the sound and see that it is charging cause it is a bit picky IMHO. It didn't pass through charge right away until I fiddled with it a bit, but it did eventually. For a 45 minute event I had no power issues on phone or mic. If you have two speakers who need mics at same time, the audio track mixing gets much more complicated so if I had that situation, I would have the speakers trade the one mic back and forth. I would definitely purchase again, but would get the dead cat to improve recording outside and have that capability.

Microphone
Perfect for TikTok Lives and Content Creation!I bought this wireless lavalier microphone specifically for doing TikTok Lives, and it has been a game-changer. The audio quality is crystal clear, and the noise reduction feature works incredibly well to block out background sound. It is truly plug-and-play, connecting instantly to my phone via USB-C without any hassle. Having two microphones in the pack is perfect for interviews or backup. Highly recommended for any content creator looking to upgrade their audio!

Powerful mic with extra long cable, almost perfect
I have bought this for vlogging on my Sony A6300. The 3.5MM jack is a TRRS, which you need to use the adapter that comes with this bundle to convert back to TRS before it would work. Very convenient, but after plugging it in, the end connector to my camera is protruding extraordinary long. This would not be an issue if i were to vlog while the camera and I am in a fixed location, but I plan to walk and vlog. Perhaps I can find a 90 degrees angle converter/adapter or if they made the adapter a lot shorter. Note this actually works for my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Does not need the converter. The Stock TRRS was perfect. So for those vlogging on the same cell phone on mine should have no issues. No plans on using it on the PC but the adapter would be available if you would wish to use that. Come with 3 muffs for the microphone to help reduce noise, the multi directional mic is very powerful and can pick up a ton of background noise if you are around. May need bigger/thicker muff. The muffs seems a bit short as well. Sometimes if you brush up against the muff, it will expose the mic a bit. The fear of damaging my camera with the super long connector (with the adapter installed) and the muffs too small prevented me to giving this a full 5 stars.

Content creators dream!
I am impressed with this mini wireless mic - it truly delivers! It connects to my iPhone instantly via USB-C, no extra apps or complicated setup needed. The noise reduction is awesome—background hums and wind noise are basically eliminated, leaving super clear, professional-sounding audio. Whether filming indoors or out, your voice comes through crisp and clean. The range is solid too, letting you move around freely without worrying about cords or dropouts. It’s compact and lightweight, just clip it and forget it. And the battery life exceeds expectations—use it for hours without needing a recharge. If you’re a content creator, vlogger, or just want better sound for your videos, this mic is 100% worth it. Affordable, reliable, and super effective.

Horrible Buzzing Noise, but Seller Responds Fast to Fix Issues
New Review I contacted the seller about my microphone issues and they were very quick to respond. They sent me a new microphone that works wonderfully for what I need it for. It took awhile for it to get in, so I had to do some messing around with the original mic to get it to work for me for some projects that I had due -- but other than the slow shipment of the new microphone (which they did not make me pay for - bless you, seller), their response to my problem was tactful and appreciated. Original Review The microphone was fine with my first use, but after I unplugged it from my phone to listen back to the video that I had just recorded and plugged it back in to film more videos, I got a horrible buzzing sound from the mic. I'm positive that it is the microphone that is malfunctioning as I have tested out other mics that I have as well as turning off my air conditioning unit and computer to rid the room of any possible noise pollution. I'm incredibly disappointed because I ordered this mic for class projects that I have and it's setting me way behind. Do yourself a favor and drop a few extra dollars on a better mic. This mic is cheap, yes, but you get what you're paying for: very poor sound quality.

Great Microphone at this Pricepoint!
Disclosure: I am a previous POP Voice customer and these opinions are my own based on my knowledge and experience with the product. If you are looking to do basic voice recording for the web this is the microphone for you. Even if you were looking to get semi-professional grade audio for interviews for either journalism or research, the POP Voice PV510+ lavalier microphone with the whopping 16' cord is a good low-cost option. This microphone VERY sensitive and tolerates a wide area of placement on a person, which is very nice if you are shooting video and don't want the mic in the shot. The microphone has a remarkable dynamic range for a sensor in this price range and does a good job of cutting ambient noise. It is well calibrated for picking up the human voice and delivers a crisp and clear recording that accurately reflects the speech of the subject. One possible drawback is the high sensitivity of this mic. Users are cautioned to position the sensor 12 or more inches from the subject's mouth and monitor audio levels while recording. While I had no difficulty with this product, I purchased the previous version of this microphone and had some struggles getting it to connect to apps on my Essential Phone. I'm happy to report that POP Voice has a very responsive and helpful customer service department. I have successfully used this microphone with Open Camera and Cinema FV-5 Lite, both available on Google Play. I highly recommend this microphone for casual and semi-professional applications.

12 hrs? Ha
not 12hrs? lmao more like 3-4hrs, plus the timeout it has built in. I threw mine away. The gain tho was okay. People could here me at least. Though I had to scramble to turn them on again if I was quite for a bit.

Worth Every Penny
You cannot beat this thing for the price and the recording quality is pretty darn good. The Bluetooth distance is great. You can turn these things on and put one on your shirt and one on another person shirt and get an unbelievable clarity in your recordings. Or you can use it with your computer. Or use it with your computer to talk to Alexa or your copilot or whatever AI you’re using. It’s great seriously hard to beat for the price. Actually it’s probably impossible to beat for the price.
