I was an avid BareMinerals user for approximately nine years... until I realized that the additions of Bismuth Oxychloride and Lauroyl Lysine were huge aggressors to my sensitive skin. After I gave BM the boot I was on the hunt for natural mineral makeup without junk in it (Have you seen some of the stuff they put into makeup? Coconut oil?! Are you serious!?) Anyways, I landed on EverydayMinerals first... it was okay. Really nothing to write home about and not much for staying power or finish. So, I took a chance on Alima Pure... and I am astounded!Pros:- Their website is up to snuff. Color descriptions are very helpful and I appreciate that they swatch things next to one another. It’s easy for me to tell which blush/bronzer/ highlight will work best for me when I can see them all together.- Packaging is sleek/clean, not cheap looking. (Yes, this matters to me.)- Color payoff is very good. Shade range is one of the best I’ve seen.- Does not irritate my very finicky sensitive skin.Cons:None so far. I will try to update in 30 days.

I’ve only used this for a week so take this review with a grain of salt, BUT, I am so impressed with Alima Pure Satin Foundation. For the last five years, I’ve struggled with acne along my jawline. It may been part hormonal acne but I was constantly getting cysts, no matter what time of the month and so, I was slathering my face in nars radiant concealer and sheer glow foundation. Well, finally I stumble upon some blog that recommends Alima Pure because it doesn’t contain bismuth oxychloride. So I buy it on a whim. And within one week of trying it (seriously I bought this foundation five days ago), my skin is the clearest it’s been in a decade. I could honestly cry. I will never stop using this product if these results remain. The color is a perfect match (which is hard for me because I am an extremely pale olive tone) and the texture is great. At first I was like, oh no, I look like a bag of powdered sugar but within an hour, the minerals melt into your skin and blend seamlessly. By the end of the day, it absorbs all my oil so I have way less blackheads and way more natural, beautiful skin. To cover my acne scars (which are now disappearing), I tap a little extra powder onto a brush and press it onto my dark spots. I have been getting compliments on my skin all week. Please, if you struggle with acne, breakouts or bad skin, please try this product. Your life will change!

I selected neutral 3 because I'm a light with cool tone and red tones. This goes on flawless and is buildable to suite your coverage. My dark circles are practically non existent and it definitely makes me look awake and gives me an even tone. Love that this product doesn't harm your skin and is cruelty free as well as hypoallergenic. Love this product and it is cheaper than the average $39 foundation's commonly found at Sephora and Ulta. It works better than tarte and all my previous favorites and reminds me of Bella Terra, but on a budget.

I have super sensitive skin - eczema (dehydrated)/combination skin) and I get cystic acne (which has been improving but still happens more often than I would like). I've been slowly transitioning over to more natural products since my body is becoming more sensitive to things. I was skeptical about getting a powder that is a foundation, but I decided to give it a shot.I like how there are so many options to match your skin tone (because that will make or break how well it covers/looks.) I also loved the description for each production. I thankfully got the perfect shade when I ordered on the first try.I was pleasantly surprised that it actually covered my acne scars/redness (from the cystic acne - which is so hard to do) - better than my concealer. So, I don't need a concealer anymore!I tried different methods of applying and the quantity of which. I find I don't really like putting it completely over my entire face. It looks nice at a normal distance but up close you can totally see the makeup. I found that I like to apply it more as a concealer than a foundation.For those that do not wish to use it as I do, you can build up the coverage. It is fairly easy to do. I would think too many layers might give a cakey look but it does cover nicely to begin with, so maybe 2 layers if you need a medium/full coverage. Again, every face is different so experiment.I use a setting powder but you may or may not need to. I tend to have combo skin so my forehead can get oily. You'll have to experiment.One month in and no bad reactions so far. (I usually need at least 3 months before I can get a reaction so time will tell on that but I don't foresee it happening.) I don't think it clogs my pores (at least not yet) although I'm not caking it all over my face either.Overall, it works well.

I've been using this foundation for around a month now. I wear the Cool 4 and it's almost a perfect match. I did first order several samples of different shades from the Alima Pure website to determine my best match and highly recommend that if you are buying for the first time. I have very oily skin prone to breakouts and with some fine lines. Since switching to Alima Pure, I have way less breakouts. The powder is not super matte, but not too shiny. I do have to blot a few times during the day. The coverage is somewhat sheer but buildable. It doesn't seem to sink into my fine lines or wear away or crease. It's a bit of a pain using a loose powder foundation instead of a pressed powder, but worth it for the gains to my complexion.

I never thought Id say this about a natural, organic foundation, but i get the most compliments when I have just this on my skin. I love the light to medium coverage . Its NOT drying. Feel good about wearing it to the shops on a weekend, since its all pure. If youre unsure about the colour choices , get a shade darker and a shade lighter and mix it up. You wont regret the quantity. I almost dont want to concede to this truth ( probably becauseof all the stupid -expensive foundations I have in my bathroom ) but this is quite possibly my best foundation ever.

Love this foundation, goes on really smooth and melts into the skin like a canvas as the day goes. Good ingredients that doesn't clog pore nor sensitize skin. Thumbs up!
